    @kjironman1 fairly hard to give you any credibility comparing Sharpe to EW, come on bro.

    it was an even worse trade than the possible pick fiasco

    it was a 3 team trade with the Cavs and Bulls. Nance was in Cleveland. Chicago got Derrick Jones and the Blazer 1st. To get that, they traded Lauri Markkanen. That's right, Portland could have traded for Markkanen but Olshey, ever the fucking idiot, thought Nance and his injury history was better

    But let’s look at that. Elliott Williams was an incredible athletic player. His career was cut short by a series of injuries. First the knee injury followed by a shoulder injury and then finally an Achilles injury.
    The Kid was a 22nd pick that was a very good prospect.
    Drafted in 2010 this team was not on the tank. He played DLeague quite a bit and actually was the D league MVP but again when he started to get his chances he got injured.

    He was incredibly athletic, but the comparison stops there.

    Because of injuries. Yes I agree. By the way if Sharpe continues to try his acrobatic dunks in games look for him to have a short career as well.

    Then your comparison makes even less sense. Why would you compare him to a guy that never got a chance to really show what he could do because of injuries? We have no idea what Williams was capable of because of his injuries. But just looking at the raw stats, he was awful when he did get playing time.

    Was the salary difference between Nance and Markkanen an issue in getting Markkanen. IIRC it was, but I could be wrong. LM was clearly the better player even with shaky D.

    no...Olshey was the issue

    Nance 10.7M-->Portland
    Jones 9.7M-->Chicago
    Markkanen 6.7M-->Cleveland

    Jones for Markkanen would have worked in that CBA. The allowed trade differential was 5M
