I know most here would probably consider disc golf (not frisbee golf) a sport for stoners and college students, but it has seen some massive growth in the past few years. As someone that has played over a decade, I highly recommend it as a way to cheaply get outside, exercise, and hang out with like minded people. It can be as competitive as you want it to be, and I don't find it nearly as frustrating as regular golf.

Having played nearly all the courses in Oregon, I have started to make a destination disc golf course hit list. First stop will be this May up past Coeur d'Alene, ID at Caliber Disc Golf. They were newly ranked top ten in the world.

Anyway.. I can't be the only person here that is into disc golf, can I?

Feel free to discuss the 2022 PDGA season here as well. They just had the first stop for the Las Vegas Challenge and Drew Gibson came away with the victory. His roller game was spectacular.

If anyone is interested, watch JomezPro on YouTube.

For anyone that thinks there isn't excitement around disc golf, check this video out from last years World Championships.

I've been a few times. Not very good, but it was a lot of fun. I always forget that I have some discs. Need to get out and do it more. Thanks for the reminder!

It's a pretty easy thing to not be any good at, for sure. It took me many many years before I got my first ace.

I've been a lot, more so before the last couple of years. Loved going to Milo, Timber, Pier, and Champoeg probably most of all. I was really into Westside Discs. No aces yet, but I got my share of stinging nettle marks out at Dabney. One mistake on those last few holes, and you're in trouble trying to find your disc.

Those are great courses. We are definitely lucky in the PNW with some excellent places to play.

I saw a pretty wild stat the other day from uDisc, 5.28 news courses installed per day in 2021.

Had a really good birthday camping experience for a friend at Horning's, also. The medium course was a blast, and the easy one was great for the nighttime glow play. Everyone stuck to one glow disc and it was a lot of fun. Same friend and I took a road trip south and hit courses along the way. Dexter and Whistler's Bend were the highlights. If I can find the videos of our shots from the top of the hill shot, I'll share them. Didn't go as we planned!

Went to a wedding out at hornings this summer. Love that place! Dexter is another one of my favorites too. You have good taste, Ace!

Just played 21 holes at Twin Rivers Park in Kennewick and that was a beautiful course right on the water. Next stop is Sandpoint, ID to play Caliber, a top ten course in the world. Will also probably check out Farragut State Park where they have a few courses. So far the weather looks to be playing nice, but we'll see.

When I taught sports for an after school program, I always included Disc Golf (Yes, not Frisbee Golf)!

Most of the kids hadn't heard of it. It was fun to teach them and they all had a blast.

A guy that's in the car with me started a youth disc golf program in our hometown.

    I love frisbee golf

I’ve never played it any way other than very casually and it has been a long time.

I try to play at least few times a week when the weather is good. There’s a pretty sweet 9 hole course in the little town where I live. I’m not super good by any means, but have definitely improved since I started a few years back. Working on power putts this year and really liking the technique. My putting has always been a disaster until now.

Recently went up to Kayak Point in Washington. Another top 100 world disc golf courses. It was fantastic. The new wooded blue course is brutally fun!
