Re: And the NFL's leading passer is..... I know I've been critical of him in the past, but I really have to hand it to Chad Pennington today. Im willing to eat some crow on this, and hopefully he makes me eat crow for a long time. lolToday, for the first time, he really showed the Chad Pennington of 2002 with good accuracy, the ability to take a hit and get right back up, and the ability to throw the ball downfield with decent zip on his passes. Coming back from 2 Torn Rotator Cuff surgury's to do what he did today was very impressive. Especially since most people thought it was impossible for him to do so after those injuries.24/33319 yds2 TD0 INTMajor Props to Chad Pennington.
Re: And the NFL's leading passer is..... I have so many surprises today and my top 3 performances today were:1. Alex Smith - The kid showed so much talent tonight in this game against the Cardinals. He has certainly shown he can lead a team, despite the loss, with little to spare. A quite impressive performance.23/40, 288 yds, 1 TD2. Fred Taylor - Fred Taylor did not do as well as some backs did today, but he pulled through in the clutch and led the team in tough spots. He showed great vision with terrific cuts in his run game. I look to see improvement as the season moves along.21 carries, 74 yds, 1 TD, 6 receptions, 41 yds3. Frank Gore - Very effective to this 49e's offense. Although Alex Smith showed he could move an offense along, he couldn't have done it without great running from Gore. Gore moved the pile as well as jumping to the outside and definitley will earn a starting spot through the entire year.16 carries, 87 yds, 2 TD, 6 receptions, 83 ydsChad Pennington would definitley be a notable, probably falling 4th in my top performaces today.
Re: And the NFL's leading passer is..... Props to Grossman, too for his job today. But still, PLAY KYLE ORTON!!

He is always great when he is not injured. And WOOT! Lets Go Paper Chad!
Re: And the NFL's leading passer is..... Congrats to Titans DC Jim Schwartz on playing right into Pennington's strength. It's funny what happened when we got out of the zone, manned up, and started blitzing some people. Wouldn't you know it? The score went from 16-0 to 16-16 in only 5 minutes.Props to Penny, though, he got the job done.

Penny is the man, he's back, and he's a top 5 QB.

Re: And the NFL's leading passer is..... No no, congrats to Mr. Charlie Batch who has the highest QB rating through week one. Well done Chucky, well done.

The playbook was really conservative, Moose dropped a lot of passes, and he didn't have Bernard Berrian.

The Bears ran too much to see what he can really do as a passer.
