Apparently no one has heard Mark say this or they would know what I'm talking about about.

I think many are missing the point entirely and just taking the opportunity to insult me in an attempt to make themselves appear superior. Sadly, since the concept flew right over their heads, and judging by the reactions, it is clear they are very base and simple creatures.

As one poster said, yes, it is August and we are at the pinnacle of the off-season with not much going on. If you disagree with my ponderings of Mark's delivery of "your Blazer dancers", or if you think the topic is a waste of time, is banal, off-color, or what have you, then you are certainly welcome to your opinion.

I might think you should lighten up a little and laugh it off as a bizarre and wild take on something or an odd thing to bring up, but there is really no need to start flexing the big hairy bellies, revving the engines on your big pick-up trucks or waving your confederate flags, or pitchforks and torches around.

It blatantly announces your sophistication level.

However, when I post such a classy and insightful series of thoughts and legitimate musings of a standout aspect of the arena experience (albeit in a playful, silly and intentionally self-deprecating way), it obviously denotes a highly advanced, yet singularly and markedly warped sense of humor.

    Am I crazy? Probably.

    Am I inappropriate? Subjectively, sure.

Am I ridiculous, absurd, suspicious.......why not?

Also, I should clarify again that I don't think Make is anything but a wholesome family man with good thoughts, but what I'm saying is that that delivery of that line makes ME read much more into his mind and MY own mind as I hear it.

And I thought it was obvious. When I am in the arena and hear that, I whip my head around and look around to see if other people are making the same confused and surprised face that I am. Like, "did I really hear him say it like THAT?"

Anyway, I've obviously offended some, annoyed many and confused others.

I DO think that some of you should lighten up a little.

Haha, nice imagery. A dog always must be bathed by the master and many hate bath time, preferring to revel in their own filth. This dog seems to be very eager for a good scrubbing. You saying I should do some self-cleaning? I won't argue there.

I liked your WTF reaction; that was perfect.

And come on! You cannot be serious! He does NOT speak with the same inflection and tone when he says, "your Portland wheelchair league" or whatever they are called. If he did, I would be very concerned.

He says "your Blazer dancers" like you would expect a strip club DJ to talk and like he knows thousands of guys and gals were just being titillated by them shaking their goods provocatively and were captivated by their suggestive and intentionally arousing dancing. Or hyper-erotic, psycho-sexualized floor routines, if you prefer.

Are you going to tell me they aren't selling something there? It's the oldest profession. Why do you think they slap a bouncy, barely covered and contained rack on top of a car for an ad? Sex sells. In Europe, they are just honest about it. Here, everyone does it, but tries to act like they're not. That's why you don't see a squad of heavies out there heaving and quivering like vibrating refrigerator to whip the crowd into an excited frenzy. That would not be sexy. You don't want to watch a female Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum out there, rolling around in skin-tight cat suits.

    That's not sexy.

Maybe creepy wasn't the right word. And I don't get your cat comment, because I was talking about kitties.

In fact, the dance team of any NBA team could just be called Titties and Kitties and it wouldn't be a lie.

Well, I hoped to get some validation on something I've often wondered about when at the games and hear this. I hope to start a serious discussion, but I think my OP was poorly worded. Hoped to keep it light and fluffy, but came across as insane and juvenile. Oh well.

I don't think the guy who runs a cat Facebook page and talks about going to cat shows is going to all the sudden be like a DJ at a strip club.

How you react to what he says (his inflection barely changes unless he's being serious about a topic or he's just reading generic stuff) says more about you than it says about him.

So you create quite possibly the worst thread (Close to how bad your first one was) of the summer. Then after a few people comment on exactly how awful it is, and point out exactly how decent of a person Mark Mason is, you double down and then start insulting people who have resoundingly responded negatively to your thread.

Then you call your post Classy? And Insightful?

I think you are the one who is misunderstanding the basic premise here. Mark Mason is an icon within the Blazer fan experience and has been for over 30 years. It would probably do you best to delete your thoughts on this matter completely but that ship has sailed and you ain't gonna live it down now. At this point you simply look like a scrub and weirdly incompetent fanboy that seems to be screaming for attention.

In the Future you might want to stay away from posting negative things on a Blazer board about pillars of the team and then criticizing those who will undoubtedly come to their defense. Unless you truly are just a loser troll which it seems you are. Of course your stay here will be short lived if you continue these kind of posting habits.

Social media and more importantly, the cell phone, have taught a generation of humans a side of selfishness, disrespect, and gross overindulgence that not only surprises me...it painfully
displays the reality of our cultural erosion. The mere idea that a respected member of the Blazer community is casually talked about in such a disrespectful manner is a sad reminder of
    this.

I can literally call up the sounds of Mark announcing so many iconic Blazer players. I choose to not diminish that.

No specifics, huh? I'll be specific: I'm 46 and can certainly switch from being serious to silly, especially on a forum on the internet. It's not as though my online communication is representative of my in-person persona or communication.

What was my first topic of the Summer? Check your logbook. Also, why are you taking this so seriously? Have you heard of a joke topic? Do you have any hair left? Or is it all whisked away by the amount of things whooshing over your head? And are you blind to sarcasm?
