What exactly do we need in a new arena that couldn't be added to the Moda Center

In about 5th grade I started listening to my dad’s Eddie Murphy/Red Foxx/Richard Pryor albums in the basement. Had those things memorized by high school.

It might not be different. I haven’t been to Moda in years. I have been in Seattle since 2010. I was just commenting on the upgrades made to Key Arena

I was looking at the features of the newest nba stadium in LA and some of the features are crazy. They have noise detectors and if you make enough noise at half time you get exclusive deals in the second half for discounts on food or merch. There are controllers to play certain games featured on the halo video board above the stadium that you can play. The halo video board is fairly unique. There are USB ports in the seats. So, that's all kind of crazy, but I wonder if some of this will catch on.

For the average fan, I do not think much will change with a new stadium. When I went to the Laker game, it was nice to have food options outside of the stadium and room in the concourse to move. It is hard to get anywhere at Moda currently. The Pacers arena was built years ago and is the same in regards to food options outside plus space. Did a tour of the Rams/Chargers stadium and believe this is why there is a big push for a new arena. Comfortable seating and exclusive clubs that are particular to your seating location. Every seat was designed to have full view of the field as well as the jumbotron. For the owner, there was huge space to develop around it. That complex has the Clippers new arena, housing, the football stadium, the NFL West headquarters, and is still not anywhere near being complete.

For me, I just want something easy to get to, park, and enjoy the game. Currently, it can be tough on all three issues. Where they build will be critical and whether they pack us in like sardines in the more economical sections. Really miss when MGB's were still affordably priced.

You can’t teach newness. The Rose Garden is 30 years old. A new arena will be zero years old.

We have technology, we can rebuild him....Probably cost more than six-million today as compared to the 70s.
