Here's my take: Woke didn't remove the cracker or the barrel from the logo. Profit motive makes all of these logos (and companies) worse over time, stripping brands of their personality, making them so slick and featureless that a life made up of commercialism-as-culture feels suddenly empty when the markers of that culture disappear for the sake of money. Conservatives can't admit, or don't realize, that the enemy here is the corporation, and capitalism in general. They love corporations, they love capitalism. But the corporation has betrayed them. They can't blame the corporation, so they blame "woke", the scapegoat for all changes. Woke didn't change the logo, of course. But to admit that would involve a lot of soul searching, and introspection isn't their strong suit.
First they came for old white men on restaurant logos. And I did not speak out. Because I was not a restaurant logo that looked like Barfo...
Pretend you're an old white guy (who may or may not like the confederacy) and then the logo of your favorite Denny’s Ripoff (But Make It Southern) restaurant removes the old white guy from the logo! The last representation you have and it’s gone! And a woman did it! Raaaaaaage!
I've never been to a Cracker Barrel, so I did not realize they were using me on their logo. Thanks to Sly for pointing it out. As this is an unlicensed use of my likeness, I've filed suit for $11B. So to answer your question, me. barfo
you should give me credit for finding the picture that became your avatar. Also, the people who called everyone else "snowflakes" sure cry a lot over things.
