Can anyone remember a time when we hadn’t announced the starting QB up to kickoff?

not much to glean from that game for the Ducks. Too much of a mismatch. MSU's front-7 put no pressure at all on Dante Moore. He wasn't hurried on any play. The Ducks were way bigger on the LOS and that makes a big difference, especially since they were probably quicker too

on defense, Oregon's biggest weakness last season was defending crossing patterns on pass plays, and it still looks like a weakness that opponents can exploit.

not sure how well RB-by-committee will work. Whittington is pretty good but he's not as good as Jordan James, and nowhere as good as Bucky Irving

I thought Davison & Hill looked decent. Their rb room is stocked.

they have a lot of options, but again, there does not appear to be a Bucky of JJ.

rumor is he had a lot of trouble learning Stein's playbook; the freshman reportedly did better...and looked better today

In just one game a bit to early to tell, imo.

Hughes has very good college stats coming in as a Junior. He wont get as many touches on the Ducks.
