Sooner or later, we'll have career contracts in all sports starting their rookie year.

And just for the record, the State of New York Disowned the Islanders about 10 years ago. lolSeriously, In my entire life I havent met anybody in person who will admit to being an Islanders fan and I live in New York, everyone is either a Rangers or a Devils fan (AKA Ex-Islanders Fans) nowadays.

New York is full of bandwagoners. What more can you expect. The Isles have JASON BLAKE though, so they are sweet.

Hell, the Jets and Giants have managed to sell out their Home Games for the Past 15 Years. The Knicks still manage to sell out just about every Home Games and the Rangers always have sellouts for the past decade. Despite sucking for most those games and seasons. The Islanders? Well, nobody cares anymore.

The Islanders are one of the worst ran organizations in sports today and this just shows it. I dont care how good this guy is. An 8 year deal wasnt good enough?
