Let's hope Sullivan gets off to a good start. If Rempe isn't a fixture on the 4th line from day one, Sullivan is going to start off very badly with this fan base. Hopefully, he won't do what the previous two coaches did. Kiss the ass of the sensitive veteran players on this team.
I don't see any reason why he won't stick with Rempe on the 4th line. In the 2nd half of last season he proved he can play effectively and stay out of the box unnecessarily. As long as he continues to play hard and smart he'll be out there.
Edstrom Carrick Rempe is as good as any 4th line. There are so many players coming off bad seasons I would hope they are taking preparation for this upcoming season seriously. Sullivan has a great opportunity. he should be able to get he PP on track. It will be interesting to see which young prospects take the next step.
The power-play will suck unless Fox decided to stop being a pussy and bulked up significantly and it looks like he might have been in the weight room.
Who is the most important player that needs a bounce back season for the Rangers to be a very good team, Lafreniere, Zibanejad, or Fox. Obviously ideally, they all need to bounce back after down seasons, but if you had to pick the one who is most important, I'd say Fox. As a dman, who plays 20 mpg +, QB's the PP, and plays against other team's top players, I think Fox getting back to the elite level he was at is super key to the Rangers having any real shot at being a top team.
Who gives a fuck. Let’s face it. Drury is setting up a rebuild for Shesterkin’s second half of his career. He has two first round draft picks next year in a very strong draft. If the Rangers aren’t making the playoffs, he can trade Panarin. He can trade Trocheck and he can force pussy Zibanedouche to accept a trade or sit on the stands the rest of his life. He can also trade Borgen and another veteran defenseman. I said it all along, and I stick by it. I say there’s at least a 65% chance McDavid is going to sign with the Rangers next season. He will be joining the best playoff goalie in the world. One of the best coaches in the world. He will have Fortescue and Emery joining the defense core soon. Cuylle and Lafreniere on his wings. You are starting to hear more and more people saying that McDavid to the Rangers is a very real possibility. Not to mention if McDavid comes here every top free agent with him and Shesterkin in goal is going to want to come here. Now, if Dolan has a brain, he needs to get Messier in the organization as soon as possible so he can start getting in Connor McDavid’s ear.
