    when I made my post it was before the news propagated on social media. And all I said was I wanted to see this confirmed by other sources, since like you, I had never heard of the guy

    He's not the soccer player. He's a sportswriter. I know him from Around the Horn and being a sub for both guys on Pardon the Interruption on ESPN. He left ESPN with Dan Le Batard.

    Before he was writing and broadcasting for ESPN he worked at Sports Illustrated but that was over twelve years ago. He got that job with Sports Illustrated right after graduating from Harvard.

    Here's a picture of him, even if your not a podcast guy you might have seen him.

    I guess I'm just not as well educated on sports writers as many others here. I do know a surprise when I get one 41 times a year during the basketball season. Unwrapping that package is always fun.
