Doesn't matter, it's only the announcement of projects that's important, not the funding or building of those projects.

North Korea will announce 23 investment projects in the US, and America will be Great Again.

North Korea doesn't have the money for 23 investment projects.

Los Angeles honor student deported with her mother. Neither had criminal record. They had fled violence. They were holed up in tiny apartment afraid to leave because of the men hanging outside. Mother had serious health problems and was deported without her medication.

She died yesterday, too afraid to go out to go to a doctor.

The money they scraped together to appeal deportation was used for her funeral.

It's now clear that the Hyundai immigration raid was an operational mistake. A big reason why this mistake happened is because the agents who raided this plant (Homeland Security Investigations) have no experience in worksite enforcement. They previously worked on high priority counter-terrorism and child sex trafficking cases, but were reassigned to work on these low priority enforcement cases to help boost the administration's deportation numbers.

Because these agents did not know what they were doing, they arrested hundreds of Koreans who were legally authorized to help install equipment at the Hyundai plant in what became the largest raid in U.S. history. Meanwhile, cases involving terror threat investigations, child trafficking, and other transnational crimes are being deprioritized.

So... Due process is good? Maybe we shouldn't be arresting people if we don't know they are actually breaking the law?

Follow up to raid on Hyundai factory in Georgia. First, if there was suspicion some workers did not have valid visas, Customs could have gone to plant management or embassy to verify. But Trump, dog killer and Nazi wanted a spectacle for TV.

Most people deported fear persecution. They keep heads down and mouths shut. The Koreans received heroes welcome when they arrived home and told exactly how they were treated. Even if Trump can persuade Korea to reinstate 22 cancelled investments, Korean workers don't want to come there.

What I did not know. In the 1960s Korea was poorer than Haiti. Now the population has European standard of living. What happened? They got rid of military dictatorship and installed democracy. Instead of directing all resources to police state, they educated and educated some more. Koreans have one of very highest levels of education in the world. Creativity and initiative encouraged. They got really good at building stuff. They prospered. Not just manufacturing but in sports, arts. They don't kill each other.

These are the worst of the worst put in chains, locked up, deported.

    WTF?

How did they know he didn't put 35¢ in a pay phone 25 years ago? And how is that much of a crime? Didn't know you could even use one without paying.
