Ha No, I appreciate the importance of first amendment rights. Just can't have this thread getting out of hand with personal insults.
And a good chunk of the right are amazing righteous people? Is that what you believe? You didnt respond to my question a few days ago I @ you about to get your take.
The truth is there are bad people on either side, but most people are good people who just want to live their lives. A lot of them have got caught up in all this rhetoric, the you vs we, and all the nasty bullshit that has blinded this country.
I thought this was the first one that was delayed? They've been putting them out every 2 weeks, as per what their contract called for (10 episodes per season or something like that, spread out bi-weekly instead of weekly makes it easier to accept fewer episodes).
Couldn't agree more Chris. My wife and I have always tried to teach our kids and grandkids to look for positive in their lives and try and to do the same with people. Friends, neighbors, classmates, relatives, teammates and others.
Question, didn’t an anchor on FOX News the other day say we should round up all the homeless and kill them? ON AIR? Am I mistaken or did I see that? And nothing? That’s ok? Honest question. If people are going to get in trouble for saying hateful dangerous things, shouldn’t it be consistent. It’s almost as if your statements and opinions you are sharing out there have consequences one way or another. And shouldn’t this be applied to tweets? Could you imagine if people were held accountable for their haste speech shared on social media?
(sorry if this was posted already) Interesting explanation of the possibilities of what happened (re: hiding the weapon)
He did say it on the air, and he "apologized". But A: it was a hollow apology and B: they don't disagree with what he said.
Hey that’s a great point FAMS! Can @SlyPokerDog and his minions LEGALLY delete our posts! Has to be some sort of a constitutional violation.
They do it all the time so it falls under "past practice"..........prolly rightwing lawyers in another life......
I didn’t see anything particularly horrifying about what Kimmel said tbh. He was taking jabs at Trump, what’s new? Interesting angle though, remember back when twitter was banning everyone right of center and you all cheered and said “iTs A pRiVaTe CoMpANy loLZ!!! THey can BaN who tHeY WaNt lMaO!!” I do. So, according to the overwhelming sentiment of this very forum, circa the last 10 years, ABC has every right to kick Kimmel off the air for whatever the fuck they want.
Well look who is back! What do you think about the Blazers transition defense this season? End of bench rotation?
There are no 1st Amendment rights in a forum like this. Now, and it's because I follow the Civil Rights Lawyer, there are some exceptions. The 1st Amendment protects you from government taking away your right to free speech. Now, where it could involve a forum like this, there have been cases where someone will go on a governmental Facebook page and write something negative about that governmental agency. For example, if you were to go on Portland Police's FB page and say that they were wrong for shooting someone, and PPB deletes your post, that violates your 1st Amend Right. But no, you do not have 1st Amend Rights in this forum. Just like Jimmy Kimmel doesn't have 1st Amend Rights against ABC, his employer. He might have a case against the FCC and the Trump Admin but that is beyond my 1st Amend knowledge.
Any chance you can swing by the economy thread you started and give us your opinion on how things are going.
