I would have to say after week 1 , i was without a doubt impressed, not that they beat a team which is rebuilding and wont probably win 6 games this year. But i was impressed that the offence actually gel`d.I has also said i was not "sold on them yet". I got into many heated debates this week before the game about the fact that i want to see them play a serious team. . See normally i get all excited and get my hopes up with the Bears and as soon as they do something good i am sold. Not after week 1 i wasnt . I also mentioned that i think the Bears would win week 2 also buy 38-0 over the Lions. And mentioned even they win and i was right, i still wouldnt be sold on them being a real contender. After seeing the lions get beat up by the Bears, again i say , "i am not sold yet" The Lions killed them selves in this game with over 10 penalties. The Lions are a team that seem to me as not playin together, as a team. Letting WR, Williams make predictions like a high school kid. Willaims another big mouth, team disturbance? IE, Moss, Owens? I guess time will only tell, but either way it cant be good for a team. The Lions have a shitload of weapons, i think more so then the Bears, but it validates my early assesment of the NFC North, The Bears are the only club with the same returning coaching staff. And are the only team with the same returning Headcoach from last year. Not to mention (but i will) they are the only team in the NFL who has all of thier starters on Def returning this year. 2 Words,, TEAM CHEMISTRY....The Bears go in to the land of the "purple horned carpet munchers" ...Yes i hate the color puple and i hate teams who play indoors on "ass-toe-turf". But i think that the Vikings are a step above the Packers and the Lions, Not because of offensive weapons, not becauce the lack of coaching, but that team seems to be playing as a team. They look like they are having fun aswell. Is it the test i am looking for, for the Bears?Nope, i think it will be harder to beat them, but i do think they will win. My prediction 24-13, and a closer game. And again i will not be sold if they win. If they happen to lose this game it wont make me lean one way or another. I will be waiting to see them beat Seattle, Yes, Seattle, i know, they are not lookin good, and they are not what everyone predicted so far, but they will adjust, and they will get better, They are a much better team they are playin like now. I expect Seattle to show up and start playin for real by week 4. Thats when i will be sold on this team.. Beat a healthy Seahawks in week 4 and i will go ape-shit, "super fans" , "my team is going to the superbowl" gun-ho, and yes then i will be sold..Just my thought,,,,
