Collins had a solid game. He had two INTs, but on one he & the ball were hit from behind by a defender before he ever released it from his hand, and on the second INT, an OL let Jason Taylor through and he tipped the pass that was eventually intercepted.19-33, 269 yds, 1 TD, 2 INTs (that weren't his fault)...not too bad
Is it really possible the Cardinals are going to lotto for another year? For the good of the Titans, I hope Vince Young starts. Then they can draft Calvin Johnson. Young-Johnson would be deadly and remind many of Culpepper-Moss.
I don't understand why Young hasn't started. Generally, you put your Rookie QB on the bench in order to make him learn plays as well as watch whoever is starting over him. Yea, Kerry Collins didn't have a bad game last week, but Vince Young is learning nothing from him. The Titans are going to lose anyway. Put him in there and let the kid learn the best way possible: By playing, all while doing just as badly as you would with any other of your QBs
ESPN just stated that Kerry Collins will start again this week... And Leinart wont get any playing time since they changed their mind and decided to go with Warner.
They right the right moves in both decisions IMO. It is too early to bench a QB for the Cardinals who are 1-2 IMO. Under Warner they have a chance still to sneak into the playoffs whereas with Leinart it is already prepareing for next season after 3 weeks. Wait for them to fall out of the playoff race first and then bench the QB to prepare for next season. For the Titans, I also think it is too soon to start Vince Young, people dont realize how raw a prospect he is with very inconsistant mechanics that leads to almost no accuracy on his deep passes, not to mention a limited knowledge of the playbooks which all rookies have, he needs as much time with coaching as possible before being thrown out there to the wolves.
