George Steinbrenner is expected to fire Joe Torre (hasn't missed a playoff season since he's been there) and hire Lou Pinella. What an asshole Steinbrenner is.
1. That's just a rumor. Cahsman himself said he sees no reason why Torre will not be back in next season.2. Torre made more than a couple mistakes again this year in the playoffs. So there is some validity to the Boss' decision if he makes it.3. I'd rather us hire Joe Girardi than Lou Pinella
You don't win the World Series, you aren't succesful. That's what the Boss thinks. And Torre has always had a roster loaded with talent. I bet if Dusty Baker managed the Yankees, they'd be in the playoffs a lot. He had Tetrahydrogestronine in SF and won a lot.

what does that mean ^^^?and Torre has earned the right to never be fired. Stienbrenner is angry, but once he gets some time, he might change hism ind. If he does fire Torre, then Girardi has to be our manager

In terms of how much the Yankees are paying each player this yearerek Jeter: 20.6 MJason Giambi: 20.4 MMike Mussina: 19.0 MRandy Johnson: 15.6 MBobby Abreu: 13.0 MJohnny Damon: 13.0 MHideki Matsui: 13.0 MAlex Rodriguez: 12.8 MThe Yankees pay 7 players more than they pay A-Rod (The Rangers cover half of A-Rod's contract due to a sweet trade agreement). So since he's the 8th highest paid player by the Yankees, why should he be looked at to contribute more than the 7 people ahead of him?

i never held that contract against him. If any of us was offered 252 mil dollars, we would accept it regardless.
