Leon Washington: 5'8" 202lbsTiki Barber: 5'10" 210lbsWarrick Dunn: 5'9" 180lbsWhile Washington does have the smaller frame, it's important to note that he's over 200 pounds. I listed done as well because he is the anomaly. Normally the break point for survival in the NFL is the 200 pound mark. There are questions, just as there were for Tiki, Warrick, and now for Reggie Bush, about whether he is big enough to survive in the NFL. But he is, and here is why: The NFL is migrating towards a two-back system. More and more teams are taking on thunder to add to their flash or vice versa. Kevin Barlow can be the pounder for the time being, and of course we will need to upgrade over him. It is important to note, however, that it took Tiki 4 years to finally make a break in the NFL and become a star. Yet Washington has looked better and better the more touches he has got, and at this pace will have more yards at the end of the season than Tiki did in his first 3 years. Next year we spend a 2nd round pick on a pounder (Brian Leonard? Tony Hunt?) to go with Washington and just roll with the two-back system. It's the building trend of the NFL and what's hot and successful right now. With Michael Bush probably going to Medical Redshirt, Marshawn Lynch looking to return for his Senior Season, and Adrian Peterson all banged up yet again, there won't be the great RB class that was originally projected this year. Even if one of the big 3 comes out, that leaves them and Kenny Irons as the only legit franchise RB's coming out. The Jets can not afford to wait for yet another year to draft the all-purpose type RB for their backfield. And aside from that, it's cheaper to go with a two back system than an "eggs all-in-one-basket single back setup. Look at what happened to the Seahawks run game when SA goes down and the Ravens when Jamal Lewis came up lame. Why waste the talent anyhow? When the two-back system is proving to be more successful than the traditional single-back set. Get a Brandon Jacobs to go with our Tiki. A Bettis to go with our Willie Parker. A Deuce McAllister to go with our Reggie Bush. Or even a T.J. Duckett to go with our Warrick Dunn.
I would love the New York Jets to get Brian Leonard to compliment Leon Washington. He could be very useful as a change of pace runningback and we could also start him at Fullback if we really wanted to to create extra confusion. My only real concern is with how much we still need on both sides of the ball, if we can afford to spend a Second Rounder on him. PS: I also think Michael Hart from Michigan and Maurice Jones-Drew also fit this new mold of the smaller, quicker Runningbacks.
Try to get Laurence Vickers from the Cleveland Browns and move him to RB, the guy should be taking carries somewhere not blocking.
He's not that bad, I just think the Jets should draft another RB, either Washington is the starter or the other guy, or they can use both. It also gives them trade bait as well as depth, but thats just my two cents.
If there's not any RBs, just draft more stud OL like you did this year. A good OL can make everything else look great. I think you guys had the best draft this year because you did it right, started from the inside out.

Nose Tackle, Outside Linebacker/Defensive End....either they need to commit to playing a 4-3, or actually get 3-4 Personell.
Washington may be fine, but I look him and I don't think he'll be a big time back in this league. In my opinion the Jets must draft a RB in round 1, Meshawn Lynch is going to come out and I really like what this kid brings to the table. He can run and catch.
Yeah the Jets need a big time back coming out of college, I dont think they can develop this "competitive" back into much more than he already is. He's a good backup though for when they get a big name getting handoffs for them.
Last 2 Weeks34 Carries, 159 yards, 4.6 Yards Per AttemptThat's behind the Same Offensive Line that Kevan Barlow has ran for 2.8 Yards Per Attempt and Derrick Blaylock has ran for 1.8 Yards Per Attempt behind. I do think he very well might be the Runningback we are looking for, but I guess we're going to have the rest of the season to figure that out.

Mise well put him on the Hall of Fame ballot. </div>Im not saying he's going to the hall of fame (Which by the way, Neither is Tiki Barber), or that he is close to the level that Tiki Barber is (Jon_Vilma would be the one implying that)......but Leon Washington has been playing great the past 3 weeks and I think he is the answer we are looking for at Runningback. Let's not forget that he did have 100 yards rushing on Jacksonville.

Is this guy gonna like have more playing time? Because i'd pick up Leon Washington in FF but i wanna know for sure if the Jets gonna use him more

I wouldn't recommend starting him though yet unless you are thin at RB.
