For those of you who havent seen it yet, 4th and 4, Jets are down by 7, one minute left in the game, and Chad Pennington throws the ball into the Endzone, the Ball is clearly caught by Chris Baker and then forced out, but the Referees decide that Chris Baker would not have come down with the ball in Bounds. Chris Baker Catching the ball[IMG]He Has the Ball (Right Before He was Forced Out)[IMG]Yeah. he wouldn't have come down in Bounds. :rolleyes:Video - http://media.putfile.com/BS-FORCE-OUT-CALL...-OF-JETS-BROWNS

Bullshit. That's all it is. That was a definition of the force out rule, and was completely ignored. Very few times do I blame the refs for losses, but we got jobbed.

That play was bullshit. If they gave the Jets the TD your talking about, Browns fans would call it bs too...

This is similar to the Miami-Dallas Game 3 where Dwyane Wade drove to the basket at the end of the game and was fouled. Photo evidence proved that he was fouled but watching it in real time, it was hard to tell that there was any contact. The photos (yours don't work) that I saw agreed that he could have gotten two feet in but watching it in real time, it looked like the Browns were too close to the sideline to allow room for Baker to come down with 2 feet plus they pushed him out so force out probably would have been the better call either way.

^^ no...Baer coulda gotten 2 feet, his body and legs inbounds...his momentum was going straight up the field, not towards the sidelines

Looks like people like stealing bandwidth. [IMG] That was a textbook case of a push-out. Which would have been a Touchdown for the Jets. They ruled though that he wouldnt have come down in bounds anyway, which is a non-reviewable call. And with the situation it ended the game. They have to do something, either change the rules to allow it to be reviewable, or get the Referees to make the call right the first time. :ranting:

The only reason I'm not ranting about this is because I've matured as a fan to the point of: If you put yourself in the position to let a bad call lose you the game, then you didn't play well enough to truely win it. If a team really deserves to win a game, 1 blown call (first quarter or fourth) shouldn't decide the game.Yeah, the fact that we didn't tie it up, force Overtime, and possibly win it there hurts. But we should have defeated the Browns by a good bit. (Romeo Crennel was Mangini's boss for years, I suppose it will take a few games before it's an even matchup anyhow).

In that situation Vilma, YOU HAVE to be upset about this one call because it WAS in the endzone, where the game is WON or LOST. A bad call elsewhere can be debatable as to whether or not you are upset about this. Feel free to rant about this one by all means.

but at the same time, the browns outplayed us almost all day...if it wasnt for one play (the KR by miller) then that doesnt matter...we shoulda stopped Droughns better and we shoulda moved the ball better..but it was stilla bullshit call

If a team gets a bullshit pass interference call and that continues the drive, then that can contribute to points that shouldn't be there. I'm not saying every call is going to be perfect, but all penalties make or break the game, not just 1 bad call.

I hate fans that get pissed at the refs and try and single out saying it's only their team that it happens to (cough REDSKIN FANS cough). I mean.. c'mon, every team has been screwed out of at least 1 game. Refs are people.. they make mistakes.

One of the worst calls I've ever seen, but the Jets didn't play well enough to win anyway.

I wouldnt have cared if he had gotten the call wrong if it was reviewable and fixable by replay, but it wasnt. That's what pissed me off the most, that they couldn't even go and review their bad call when they put instant replay in to try and avoid this situation.
