While I am sad that Rutgers lost as I was rooting for them bigtime, in the grand scheme of things I can't help but realize that they were at best predicted to be an 7 win team this year and they have already exceeded that. So to a certain degree, they have overachieved and were playing with House Money at that point. Even if they lost out, it should be considered a Successful Season in the big picture, because what this 9-0 start has done for recruiting to Rutgers is HUGE where they can finally start prying some of the Big-Time talent away from the larger schools.....now they're not going to get the next Reggie Bush yet, but top prospects from the NY/NJ/PA area are going to have Rutgers higher up on their lists now.More importantly though, Rutgers can still get to a BCS bowl game with a win over Syracuse and WVU, so lets go Rutgers, bring a BCS game to Jersey!LETS GO RUTGERS!Keep on Choppin Wood!

Oh yeah, this was a VERY successful season for them, even if/when they lose to WVU. They are now definitely on the radar so long as they can avoid any sort of one-year-wonder deals. So much for that whole crazy scenario for Rutgers to make the nat'l title game.

The Rutgers AD said earlier this year his objective wasn't to win a national championship this year, it was to build program prestige and attract more recruits in order to build the program for the future.Regardless of the loss, he accomplished that.

Noel Devine was considering going to Rutgers. They were one of his top 5 schools. That was before the season started though.
