Brooksie hurt his shoulder a bit, that's the only reason he left.
About equal. I'd like to see Brooks start next week. Other than the o-line collapsing a bit he looked pretty good. Nice crisp passes as opposed to brad. Tarvaris showed me in his three passes that he will be part of the future of this team. That pass over the middle was beautiful for a few reasons. After watching brad struggle to get the ball 20 yards down the field, watching Tarvaris just lob the ball up with a little touch on it made me feel so relieved. It was like he barely threw it downfield yet the throw was right on target and with enough speed to get there in time. We already know he can run but he made a rookie mistake not covering the ball when he ran with it. From this game on it's brooks and tarvaris.
Yeah, the Vikings line apparently has something against Brooks. His first 3 plays against the Pats, he was sacked.. untouched pretty much. And his first play today Alex Brown ran right by McKinnie (or whoever was playing LT) and smoked Brooksie. He was sacked a few times (untouched). But once they blocked for him, he lit it up.
Probably because 1. The teams see a new quarterback in there and blitz and 2. he isn't acquainted with the 1st team offense.

I've been trying to tell you. Brooks comes in, coordinators are licking their chops. He's completely cold and they know how to get to him. Brooks is also one of those guys who sits in the pocket like a statue when he's reading the defense. It pays off when he gets protection but when he gets rushed he pretty much freezes. I think if he practiced with the first team for a week and played from the start the o-line would be a lot better. Notice that the only 3 sacks we gave up all game were with brooks in.

Handcuffing him is not necessairily a bad thing though as, It would explain why his accuracy has been much better if he's not throwing on the run as much, But it does take a dimension away from him. I still say he reminds me alot of Jeff Garcia. Small, Tough, with the ability to make a few things happen with his feet. He's no Michael Vick, but shouldn't be underestimated there either. Has the ability to be above-average in the right system.
