I felt like making this topic to give some props to 2 players who have long been labeled a 'bust' but under Mangini have turned themselves into very good players. Those guys would be Bryan Thomas and Dewayne Robertson. Bryan Thomas through 11 games so far this season has set career highs in both Tackles and Sacks (58 Tackles, 5 Sacks). His development so far this season has been great as he is getting better week in and week out, as shown by his 2 sacks this past week and 4 sacks in his past 4 games.Dewayne Robertson meanwhile has also much improved his play in the past few weeks at Nose Tackle and has been great over that span. Instead of getting blown off the line of scrimmage he is finally holding his own and even winning the battle against a double team at times. He was named Defensive Player of the week against the Patriots, has a career high in Tackles (44 Tackles) and has been getting better and better, although much of what he does is not shown on the stat page. Gotta love those who panic and use the 'bust' tag too early, looks like they just needed some proper coaching.
