He's the best SP on the market this year.

It would be a good pickup I think. He's old but he's one of the better pitchers on the market this year and the Cubs need pitching that badly.

Plus they need to keep in mind an extension for my boy Zambrano. They've already got 45M commited to Lee, Ramirez, Soriano. They need to be careful here and not go really nuts, or there won't be any money for Z. We can't fuck our financial future until Z is locked.- 1900th post. [IMG] :beerbang2:

My boy CZ isn't going to the Yankees. Why would he want to play for a bunch of self-centered assholes?

Z has said he wants to play for the Cubs. He showed that by canning Boras last January

The Marlins will end up tradeing him before his contract is up and whoever pays for Willis will be sure to extend them themselves. Now if you're saying the Yankees are going to trade for Willis, expect the package for him to contain at very minimum the name Hughes, Cabrera, and possibly Sanchez too (Depending on how bad the Bidding war is).As for Zambrano, I expect him to get locked up long-term sometime this offseason, but if he was to ever hit Free Agency Id think just about every team in the league would be after him. No idea where he would end up, although im sure the Yankees would be throwing some major money his way.

He had a bad year last year, trading for him won't cost as much as it would have.

I heard the Twins were talking to the Marlins about trading for Dontrelle. But Terry Ryan said he would probably rather have many young great arms in the farm system rather than 1 good pitcher. I would probably rather have the D-Train, and the offer seemed pretty reasonable (Rincon or Crain with a couple of pitching prospects none of you have heard of).And that Yankees rotation is stupid. They won't get Dontrelle or Z.

And he's an NL pitcher. Shot of 1 amazing year, he's had 1 above average year, 1 mediocre year, and 1 below average year. All in the NL.He's good but he doesn't deserve a King's ransom.

Given the crazyness of this market, there is little reason to think Dontrelle Willis would not get the same offer he would have gotten this time last year.I didn't say he deserves a kings ransom, but the second he becomes available, he will get one.

TED LILLY 4 for 40? That's ridiculous. I live in the TDot and I see him play here, he's okay. A decent number 2-3 pitcher.THAT'S RIGHT, IM BACK. [IMG]
