There are Five Teams fighting for Two wild card spots in the AFC. - Denver Broncos- New York Jets- Kansas City Chiefs- Cincinnati Bengals- Jacksonville JaguarsMy picks- Jets - This may seem like a homer pick possibly, but if you look at the remaining schedule for the Jets, it is laughable if they do not make the playoffs. It would not surprise me at all if they win out the rest of the season and finish with an 11 - 5 record, especially if Pennington played like he did verse the Packers and how he was playing at the start of the season. Also, the running game is getting better every game and the defense is playing great.- Bengals - If their defense keeps up like this, or keeps up to anything remotely close like this, then it is almost the safest pick out of all them by far because of their explosive offense with Palmer, Johnson, Houz.., Henry, Johnson, etc. etc. etc.
Jets: Very easy schedule remaining. Under a .400 win percentage for combined teams. With the two division games, Dolphins and Bills, should be an additional 2-0 record to they divisional record. The Jets may be able to beat the Patriots in the race for the AFC East.Bengals: Not an easy schedule in terms of the looks of it, but the way they are playing, they may be able to take away the Colts hopes for a 14-2 season. They play the Oakland Raiders this upcoming week, which should be a favorable game for them. They then move on to see the Colts, which may or may not be a loss, it should be a shootout. The next two opponents, Denver and Pittsburgh, are struggling to get their act together. The Bengals should take advantage of a rookie QB in Cutler, and a toppling Steelers team. There is my 2 picks for the WC winners, unless the Jets pull through, then the Patriots win the WC spot.
