Just a quick recap.Jets Offense- Pennington played well, although against a 27th ranked passing defense that's nothing supriseing. - Laveranues Coles and the rest of our WR core are pimps, They were almost consistantly getting Yards after the Catch. Coles had probably one of his best games ever, and McCareins kept burning Griffin.- Pass Blocking was inconsistant, I thought they held their own, but it wasnt one of their better games. - The Run Game was suprisingly effective. I expected the Jets to almost entirely abandon it since the Vikings are on pace to be the #2 overall Run Defense in NFL History but Cedric Houston was able to pound the ball on them somewhat well, he didn't get a ton of yards, but his yards were timely in key situations. Jets Defense - D-Rob = Beast- Hobson, Barton, Mosley had nice sacks, Barrett had a nice INT (Especially Mosley since that was one of the few times he actually saw the field against his former team.)- Jets Defense pretty much dominated the Vikings offense for most of the game.- Jets NEED to stop playing their stupid Prevent Defense late in games. Vikings Offense- Chester Taylor was ineffective.- Brad Johnson sucks- Tavaris Jackson came in the mid 3rd Q and played well, but keep in mind that the game was 26-7 at this point and the Jets were already in their prevent defense that has allowed QB's like JP Losman, David Carr, and Joey Harrington to look good. At that point in the game the Jets don't care about the numbers and just allow the opponents the favor of running the clock out for them. Id be willing to bet either Brad Johnson or Bollinger would have put up similar numbers (as we've already seen worse QB's do exactly that).....Vikings Defense- Their Run Defense is the real deal. Very good, I was impressed.- Unfortunately, they tend to key in on the run too much which made them prone to allowing those Short Dink-and-Dunk passes from Chad Pennington.- Cedric Griffin = Chad Pennington's bitch.Overall Good game from the Jets. Just wish they would have gave Brooks Bollinger a chance. :whistling:

Just got done watching the Tivo'd game. 1. Don't pull the "prevent defense" excuse on Tarvaris because he tore the jets d up at the end. He's the real deal. Look at how much he spread the field and got Troy Williamson involved in the offense. That screen pass for the TD was picture perfect.2. Your receivers need to stop pushing off and the refs need glasses. 3. Your defense dominated because our offense sucks. We had like 100 penalties and Brad Johnson just plain blows. 4. and... pennington owned us. Fred Smoot has to go. Cedric Griffin really didnt get burnt that much and I have no fucking clue how you think he's "chad pennington's bitch".

David Carr threw for 159, Kerry Collins 151, J.P. Losman 150, all in the 4th Quarter Garbage Time against the Jets. Just because Tavaris Jackson looked good in garbage time against the Jets means nothing buddy, as like I said. Worse Quarterbacks have done the exact same thing. 2. It's called physical play buddy [IMG] 3. Pretty Much.4. 3-4-MIN32 (9:07) C.Pennington pass short right to B.Askew to MIN 26 for 6 yards (E.Henderson; C.Griffin).1-10-NYJ20 (4:20) (Shotgun) C.Pennington pass short right to L.Coles pushed ob at NYJ 26 for 6 yards (C.Griffin).2-4-NYJ26 (3:53) (Shotgun) C.Pennington pass deep middle to J.McCareins to MIN 24 for 50 yards (C.Griffin).1-10-NYJ14 (12:08) C.Pennington pass short left to L.Coles pushed ob at NYJ 22 for 8 yards (C.Griffin).3-11-MIN21 (6:11) (Shotgun) C.Pennington pass deep right to J.McCareins pushed ob at MIN 1 for 20 yards (C.Griffin).Wasn't as bad as I thought from watching the game, but still a good 90 yards were his fault.

The Jets are overrated. Holy (not basing it off of this game). Their record is very deceiving. They are like 22nd in total offense and 26th in total defense (that's what it said in the paper the other day.. I'm not 100% sure if those numbers were correct, but I know they were both in the 20s).

[IMG] In reality though, most realize that the Jets are still a work in progress with multiple needs and one of the main reasons their record is what it is is because of the Jets schedule. But there are some things which you are underestimating about them.- The Jets defense plays much better then the numbers say. Like I've already pointed out, they give up a Rediculous amount of yards in Garbage Time playing a Prevent Defense which doesn't prevent anything, just keeps the clock running. It in turn though skews their stats defensively. The Jets defense since they're Bye Week in Week 9 has in my opinion been a Top 10 Defense in the league as in only 1 of our Past 6 weeks have the Jets allowed more then 14 points. - The Jets have one of the best special teams in the league. The Jets are in top 10 in cover for both Kicks and Punts, Justin Miller is the best returnman in the game outside of Devin Hester, Mike Nugent has made 18 of his last 19 Field Goals, and Ben Graham is a Pro-Bowl Caliber Punter.- The Jets are one of the best coached teams in the league. The Jets are among the league leaders in least Penalties, and they always seem to carry a well thought out and effecitve gameplan into each week.

Maybe the best kick return man outside of Hester, but I'm not going to call him the best return man until he returns both kicks and punts.

Justin Miller is Tied for 1st in the NFL in Average Kickoff Return of 28.7 (Tied with Maroney)Justin Miller is Tied for 1st in the NFL with 2 Kickoff Returns for Touchdowns (Tied with Hester)Justin Miller is 1st in the NFL for Longest Kickoff Return 103 YardsHe is completely dominating that one aspect of returning.....if there was another player who was putting up huge numbers in both Kick and Punt Returning I could see your arguement, but who exactly is that player? If you see a more qualified returnman feel free to bring him up. Until then Miller is Second Best in my eyes.

My power was out, so I listened to the Radio for football updates and got the score on my phone. Sounds like Penny is a stud.
