10-7 now Jets.Terrible bounce on a punt hit a Jets Blocker in the back so Miami just got one hell of a lucky turnover. :glare: Now lets see if we can overcome it. Lets Go Jets!
Jets win!! 10-13, Nugent FG with 10 seconds left. Leon Washington with a 64 yard REC with 1:45 left...
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!9-6 and the Jets still control our Destiny. Have Oakland at Home next week, Win and we're in!
I hope you're not truly excited about putting this team on a playoff field. Every time I've seen them, they've looked less than spectacular. Oh well, getting to the playoffs is a start I guess.

We need playmakers. Washington's 64 yard reception with just over 2:00 left in the 4th was awesome, but we can't rely on just him, Miller's kick returns, and the occasional deep Coles' catch for victories. Offseason plan:Sign Bryant Johnson to play WR and put Cotchery in the slot.Get Kellen Clemens some reps and ready him to take over in his 3rd year. DRAFT PLAYMAKERS. Offense and Defense.

Get us a playmaker at Tight End, Fullback (ala a Brian Leonard), or even potentially a Franchise Runningback instead. PS: I see no reason why Clemens couldn't play as soon as next year. Naturally, he would have to earn the job though.
I'm truly excited that a team that many decided was destined to be a Top 5 pick now controls it's own destiny and is one game away from the Playoffs. I don't think the Jets are on the level they need to be yet, but if the Pittsburgh Steelers proved anything from last season is that the Hottest Teams entering the playoffs are plenty capable of making some noise, and if the Jets beat Oakland, the Jets will have won 5 of 6 games and 6 of their last 8 in order to get into the Playoffs. Not to mention the Jets making their playoffs in their first season under Eric Mangini would be great and a huge stepping stone for the next few years with a Super Bowl as our Ultimate Goal.

He's playing better than his physical abilities this season. Very Cherbet of him. With Coles and Johnson on the outside, and Cotchery over the middle our WR corps would be very studly. As long as Clemens earns it over Penny. But the locker room loves Pennington. They see him as their battle-scarred hero who leads them to victory. Penny offered 2 million dolllars to give back to the team when the Moss for Coles swap was on the line in order to get his best friend back on the team. So Clemens would have to above and beyond prove he deserves it in order to get the start over a healthy Pennington.

I don't believe this whole BS story about how the Locker Room loves Chad Pennington when players have been saying that he's like an Egg back there, he leaves his WR's out to dry way too much, and has cost us as many games as he has won us. I refuse to believe that the team loves Pennington so much that they wouldn't accept someone who is performing better (Assuming Clemens does so).
