I have to go with Unitas.He revolutionized the position and made it what it is today. 47 straight games with a TD pass, 2 NFL championships (weren't called Super Bowls yet), he threw blocks downfield, he could tuck and run plus break tackles. He was a winner and I would say isn't given enough credit for being the first real quarterback of professional football.Then I would go with Montana, Marino, Namath, Elway to round out the top 5.

No, but they deteriorate some credibility. He threw more picks than TD's last year, and he isn't doing very well this year either.
Exactly. He's still a top 15 guy, can't deny that but he's staying in the game for the sake of breaking records and at the same time is holding the rest of his team back.
So just b/c he's stayed longer than he should, it takes away from everything he's done?? Is he still a 1st-ballot HOF in your book?? B/c he is in mine, even though I hate him and the Pack

There is no doubt about what he's done that will get him a 1st ballot, but it doesn't help that these 2 years were played.
