They were just talking about how good Betts has been playing (and he has), and they asked if this makes Portis expandable. I think they could really help their team by dealing Portis, or maybe even Betts for a first rounder, or a great player on defense (or whatever you think their needs are).Do you Redskin fans think one should be traded to help out somewhere else? Do you have any trades that would make sense?

Venom and I talked about this on AIM. He said Portis for Vilma sounds good. I say: Ladell Betts, Adam Archuleta (he can play FB too), and a 3rd rounder for Jon Vilma and 6th rounder. If Betts continued to play like he has the past five weeks, he would be the best RB in the league... he's on pace for 2170 yards for next year.I love Portis though. Everyone does. He is our best player still. I don't like having Betts as a backup because he is only good when he gets a lot of carries, and I doubt Saunders will give each of them 20+ carries a game. It's unfortunate that Portis had two different injuries this year, because it lowers his trade value a lot. We could get a Champ Bailey (lol) plus more for him, but because of his injuries, probably not. Another trade I was thinking of is maybe Betts for Albert Hanesworth and picks. So yeah, I don't like having both Betts and Portis (unless one gets injured) because they are only good if they get a lot of carries. I think having Duckett and Portis or Duckett and Betts would be more than enough, if we could get a lineman or DB for one of them.BTW... I highly doubt we will trade Portis or Betts. Gibbs already said that Portis is the man and he isn't leaving unless it's an uncanny offer, and we just negotiated Betts's contract (and he said he loves it here).

Didn't you say you heard something about Portis-for-Vilma?But I know Portis still has like 6-7 years in him.
