Once he clears waivers after 48 business hours, teams will be eligible to sign him.Webber missed 11 of the last 14 games, officially with foot and ankle injuries. He was due nearly $21 million this season and $22 million next season.Webber, the No. 1 overall pick in the 1993 draft, averaged 11 points and 8.3 rebounds in 18 games this season. He has career averages of 21.4 points and 10 rebounds.</div>
Even if he does cost a lot I'm not sure why the Sixers are completly destroying thier team. I know they're trying to rebuild, but no one is going to want to come to them if they have no chance at winning.
Sixers are going the right direction IMO. They made a huge mistake a couple of years ago when they offered Samuel Dalembert 11 million a year though. But other than that, they are kind of smart. They will have three first round picks next year, and it's going to be a very good draft this upcoming year. Four of about the first 34 picks will belong to Philly. Andre Miller is an excellent PG to build around, even if he is not young. Andre Iguodala is becoming a huge star in Philly, Carney and Korver are coming along, Green is playing amazing now, Dalembert is playing good defense... I think they will compete for the 8th seed in the playoffs in the next year or so.
