    Re: Ideal Jets' offseason

We lose NO ONE of quality off of our current roster since we've resigned Bryan Thomas. But here is what we should do to improve our team for next year:1. Give Jerricho Cotchery the restricted maximum. If someone steals him, we get a 1st round pick, and I doubt anyone would value him that highly.2. Sign Asante Samuel from the Patriots. He'll dramatically upgrade our CB corps, be an immediate starter, and he already knows Mangini and the system so there will be little drop off.3. Sign Tully Banta-Cain from the Patriots. This one is a little more risky since this year was his first year starting, but he really broke out this year. Another guy who is familiar with Mangini.4. Sign Leonard Davis from the Cardinals. Adding the massive Leonard Davis to be our Right Tackle would be a major upgrade over Clement/Jones. At 6'6" and 365 pounds he is quite possibly the strongest Tackle in the NFL.5. Sign Michael Turner from San Diego. Turner is a restricted Free Agent, and as long as he doesn't cost us a 1st rounder, I'm all for giving up a draft pick for him. It would likely be a 3rd rounder.6. Grant Justin McCareins request and trade him away. Gt that 3rd round pick for him back that we used on Turner and essentially trade McCareins for Turner.7. Draft a 3-4 Defensive End8. Draft a Tight End.9. Draft a Slot WR.10. Draft a Fullback that can block.Ideal Draft:1. Adam Carriker, DE2. Brian Leonard, FB2. Anthony Gonzalez, WR3. Joe Newton, TE5. Although I think Id rather get Johnny Lee Higgins instead of Anthony Gonzalez. It'd be nice to have an actual deep threat who can stretch a defense, especially for when KC takes over.Plus we could save a Third Round pick by going after Daniel Graham or Eric Johnson who would do the same things as Joe Newton. Also, I think for an IDEAL scenario, We have to replace Brandon Moore too.

If not, and they do just the 3rd rounder, then we sign him and just forfeit our 3rd rounder.</div>The rest sounds pretty good to me. Besides, Graham: 6'3", Johnson: 6'3", Newton: 6'7" Who would you rather be throwing high to in the Red Zone? Also, I think for an IDEAL scenario, We have to replace Brandon Moore too.Possibly, but I was trying to be realistic. My only stretch was the McCariens trade.</div>
