<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Atlanta Braves are quietly shopping Brian McCann who has made a name for himself as the best young catcher in the NL. It is believed that the Braves are looking for a 3rd Baseman with plus power to replace Chipper Jones who is expected to make the switch to 1st Base at some point during the next two seasons. If traded the Braves would call up Jarrod Saltalamacchia, considered the top Catching prospect, to take McCann's place. Don't get too excited though, as the Braves likely aren't in any rush to trade their biggest bargaining chip.</div>
I really wish the Yankees had a 3rd Baseman waiting to come up in the minors... Posada is clutch, but we need to replace him soon. McCann would be a great fit in New York.Right now the only teams with the prospect to trade for him are the Royals, Dodgers, White Sox, and Indians. And the White Sox and Indians don't need a catcher. But let me think, 3-team trade.... Yankees send Humberto Sanchez to the Indians who need pitching, Indians send Andy Marte to the Braves who need a 3rd Baseman, and the Braves send Brian McCann to the Yankees.Success!
Eric Duncan is on the Yankees. I don't know if he's any good, I know he was last year or 2 years ago.

Well I guess I didn't think Duncan was really good enough for McCann, but a package of Duncan and something, that could help the Braves out maybe. And I wouldn't trade Gordon or Marte for McCann.

Uh, I'm really confused. Eric Duncan is one of the top 3B prospects in baseball...why would they trade him for McCann when Posada still has at least 3-4 solid years left in him? Stop thinking the Yankees are going to trade for everyone, they aren't. McCann will be traded though, Jarrod Saltalamacchia is arguably one of the best hitter prospects in baseball. Trading him to the Dodgers makes no sense whatsoever with Russell Martin there, the Indians aren't going to trade Marte back to the Braves, I guess Pheralta could be in the deal, but that would be stupid of the Indians IMO.The Royals would not be stupid enough to trade Teahen OR Alex Gordon for McCann when they have Adam Donachie. And the White Sox? They have I think 4 catcher prospects, no way they trade for McCann. And who would they trade, Crede? Ha.Whoever wrote this article...I donno, doesn't seem up to par to me...

The White Sox might shop Crede, b/c they have Josh Fields waiting in the wings, and Crede's agent is Boras, who the White Sox management hates so much, they refuse to draft anyone represented by him, and they refuse to talk to free agents represented by him. Kind of stupid, but Crede could be on the market
that doesnt mean Crede would be traded for McCann. I never said Crede wasn't being shopped, I just said there was no way he'd be traded for McCann.
