<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>CLEVELAND (AP) -- Usually the one avoiding pressure, Troy Smith is putting the heat on the Cleveland Browns.Ohio State's Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback is lobbying his hometown team to select him in April's NFL draft, and he isn't missing any chance to remind the Browns that he'll be available to them soon.Smith was named the area's outstanding collegiate athlete at Monday night's Greater Cleveland Sports Awards, and during a taped acceptance speech he thanked the city's fans for their support."Hopefully, I'll get a chance to represent you guys at the next level with the Cleveland Browns," he said.Smith hasn't hidden his desire to play for the Browns, who after finishing 4-12 last season will pick either third or fourth in April's draft. During a recent halftime ceremony at an Ohio State basketball game, Smith wore a Browns jacket.Following a tribute for him at Glenville High School in December, Smith said playing for the Browns would fulfill a lifelong goal."I have dreamed about it and talked about it countless times with my mother," he said. "All she talks about is saving the Browns. If that were to happen, that would be a dream come true because I could stay in the community and give back."</div>Troy Smith Wants to be a Brown
It might not be a bad pick for the Browns in the Second/Third Round. It's not like Frye is that good, some competition would be a good idea, plus he's a fan favorite in the area.

I dont think their 2nd would be a reach for him, maybe if he does well at the combine they will really consider it.

Jonathan Wade almost intercepted it and Smith was lucky Jason Hill was able to out-muscle Wade to come down with the pass.

I just watched it a couple times right now to make sure I wasnt insane, and besides one of the commentators repeatin how beautiful the throw was, Wade didnt have a shot at it and Jason Hill caught it easily.
He could end up going somewhere else in the first if they don't use theirs on him, who knows. It would be awesome to see him on his home team.

Here's a link to the highlights if you want to see yourself, but the better view is on the single play which you can watch by itself.Link

Live your own and stop worrying about mine. Don't tell me to get laid, already have.Either way, that 75% comment, exaggeration or not, was a dumb comment. There is no way that more than 10% of all NCAA passes, Div I schools at least, could be picked off. You just don't watch enough football to know that though.
