Free Agent DE and recent Superbowl Champ has been seen wearing Yankee attire on both Inside the NFL and PTI. Could this be his demonstration of his desire to play for the great city of New York? Either as a Jet or a Giant?

Why Giants? They don't need him.I don't want to get your hopes up, JV, but if he's going to New York it's definitely the Jets.

He's from Connecticut and went to Syracuse, so he's probably just a Yankee fan. I don't think he'd wear Yankee gear to show people he wants to play for the city, athletes wear other teams gear in other sports all the time.

Very High Risk move. I'd rather draft his clone in Jarvis Moss and try it for a fraction of the cost.

Plus the unproven quality of all Rookies.

The Bears should sign him. They would have a sick defense, and we can get rid of Tank Johnson and all his problems. I'm convinced the Bears only kept him b/c Tommie Harris was injured

Dont flatter yourself or your team.

Dont flatter yourself or your team.[/quote]According to their 'listed' weight, it's only a 4 lb difference. Not to mention the wear and tear on a Defensive Lineman is greater then that of a Linebacker as the Lineman has to go against 300 lb Offensive Tackles every single play, and in Freeney's case, 2 300 lb Offensive Lineman every play. Freeney was actually projected to be a 4-3 DE/3-4 OLB tweener when he came out of college. I'm sure he could play it. If anything, he'd probably be better at it since his lack of size would be hidden there.I just wouldn't risk like 8 million a year to find out, not to mention he's surely gonna be tagged.
