stupid move on their part. Cowher was considered a guy who couldn't win the big game a few years ago and look at what happened after that.

I guess that horrible challenge was the last straw. They should have beaten New England, and you can't forget that Marty lobbied heavily for Brees to be retained over Rivers, so who knows what the relationship between them is. I can't say I blame the Chargers here, I just wonder where Marty will land.

Assholes. They should have at least given him the courtesy of a forced resignation...But it is understandable. His entire staff deserted him, including his own son, and the guy isn't getting any younger.

Brilliant. Fire a coach because he led his team to a 14-2 record and then his team sucked ass in the playoffs. Yeah, it was all his fault.

You would think that they would have canned him earlier if they were going to so they could have had their choice of their coordinators in-house with Cam Cameron and Wade Phillips. And I can't blame any of the people from leaving Marty, they all got a promotion, more money, and a better opportunity elsewhere, Brian Shottenheimer is now on the hot track to a Head Coaching gig because of his move to the Jets, and Cam Cameron and Wade Phillips just got 2 well regarded jobs in Miami and Dallas.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Of course I have to wonder how this will effect the Michael Turner situation...</div>Probably will start new in terms of their coaching staff. Which means little loyalty to their player, will probably sell him to the highest bidder now.

San Diego State is an awesome school. Hella party school, I visited it when i went to the Holliday Bowl, totally kicked ass. I highly reccommend checking it out if you wanna go to a school out West. People were hella nice, campus was amazing. Awesome place.

A rebuilding team will always take a chance on someone who can build a team up with the best of em.

He's better then a TV job, He is better then half the coaches in the league or more, unfortunatly, the chargers screwed him by letting him go this late

He should take off a year and then coach another NFL team.

Good places for Cowher and Schotty if both open up. Take Schotty to Philly and Cowher to Seattle.

How about the Bears fire Turner and hire Marty as their OC?? That and run the 2-QB offense I propose
