My bro's a Giants fan and he seems to think their going to make a big move for Lance Briggs. I guess we'll see though.
I think Briggs will test out the market, but i know a bunch of people that think the bears will pay him the money or franchise him, it would be smart on their part. He is becoming an elite LBI dont know why he'd want to leave that team anyway, other then $$$

His contract was only 2 years $2 mil with a low bonus and lots of incentives, I doubt he's come close to any of those incentives, he'll only be cut if he gets outperformed by the other recievers in camp to the point where he drops below 5th on the depth chart, I dont see it happening
all we have to do at OLB is re-sign Brandon Short and we have our starters. Geris Wilkinson is more than capable of starting. We'll need to pick up some depth via FA and the draft in the mid-rounds, but re-sign Short and it's fine.How cutting someone that's due a huge bonus but is only capable of being a role player at this point because of injuries, and a linebacker who's just not what he used to be, and a left tackle who's making way too much money as well, makes this a horrible off-season so far, is beyond me. Obviously we needed to change something.My biggest concern is left tackle though. Petitgout had a great season last year. He wasnt his usual false-starting self. He was sorely missed when he got hurt. I'm not sure how or where we'll find a replacement. I dont want to move David Diehl to LT, he's not fit to play there. I'm afraid that's what they have planned though, because I cant think of any good FA LT's off the top of my head and this draft really only has two LT's that are even close to being ready to be good NFL Starters out of the gate, and one of them is way out of our reach unless Reese would like to pull an Accorsi and trade everything humanly possible to move up in the draft.but hey, not everyone can have off-seasons like the redskins, golly I sure hope we can find the Adam Archuleta of this year's FA Market hahaha
