<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mike Mayock heard it from one scout, and then from another. They'd found, each told the NFL Network draft analyst, a sleeper over at Rutgers. Then a coach called Mayock and said Cam Stephenson, the big guard at Rutgers, was his sleeper. Then another scout said the same, and then Mayock went to see Rutgers coach Greg Schiano, who said to him, "So I hear everyone thinks Cam's this great sleeper."And at that point, Mayock said, "The kid wasn't sleeping anymore."By this time next week, Stephenson is hoping NFL teams won't be doing the sleeping -- on him.Come Thursday, Stephenson and tight end Clark Harris begin pitching their skills in Indianapolis at the NFL combine.Fullback Brian Leonard starts the next day, and while Stephenson's two former Rutgers teammates have been on the scouts' radar for years, all three have something to prove."I wouldn't say it's a minor piece for any of them," ESPN.com draft expert Todd McShay said. "They're going to answer some questions -- or raise some red flags."First held in 1982, and settled in Indy in 1987, the combine bills itself as a mega-job interview. The Rutgers' trio will be among 326 invitees this year, and for four days, scouts, coaches, team executives and medical personnel will determine if they're worth hiring. They'll run a 40-yard dash, a 20-yard shuttle to gauge lateral speed and a 60-yard shuttle to show endurance. They'll bench press 225 pounds as many times as they can, have their vertical and broad jumps measured and do the three-cone drill to test how they cut. They'll undergo full physicals and Cybex testing on their joints, they'll be psychologically tested and of course there's the famed 50-question, 23-minute Wonderlic. And then every night, they'll be interviewing one-on-one with coaches and team executives."That," Mayock said, "is where Brian's going to shine."Leonard is expected to weigh in at 13-14 pounds under the 238 he played at, a move designed to present himself as a possible -- and likely earlier-picked -- tailback. The 6-foot-2 back will have to run exceptionally fast and his decision has been loudly questioned, including by Dick Vermeil at the Senior Bowl. That, however, is why McShay agrees with Mayock that the interview is Leonard's key."He'll sit in a room and tell them why he took off the weight, but also why he was so selfless last year, and all the roles he's willing to play," McShay said. "There are so many players there, this is the real chance to make a name for yourself."After missing the Senior Bowl with toe trouble, Harris definitely has to do that.No one doubts the 6-6, 260-pounder's receiving, but Mayock said scouts consider him a "deficient blocker."He's not, McShay said, "viewed as a playmaker" either, and so for him, the speed drills are most important."He's got to prove he can make more than just a 5- or 10-yard catch," McShay said. "His speed is the biggest thing."Stephenson's speed will be important too, but so too will his strength, his footwork and everything really. The 6-3, 285-pound former defensive lineman, after all, doesn't have a universally recognized name just yet.Right now, Mayock thinks Leonard is a second-rounder at best, and at worst.McShay thinks Leonard needs a strong combine to secure the second round. Both see Harris as a late first-day, early second-day pick, and both think Stephenson's a sixth- or seventh-rounder. Unless, of course, he has a great combine."He's the most intriguing because he's the one people know the least about," Mayock said. "People are going to look at him and think: upside."Which, in the end, is better than sleeper.</div>

To me its not a huge surprise to me that Stephenson would raise some heads, Rutgers line did some great blocking this past year for Ray Rice and Leonard, and of course protecting Mike Teel. My main concern with him is his weight as that article has him at 285 (Although Rutgers has him listed as 305). If he measures in closer to that 285 number....that probably isnt a good thing for him.
