Michael Smith was asked who is a good offseason away from the Superbowl. His answer, yours truely the San Francisco 49ers. He talked about all our cap and draft picks. Said we were a strong candidate to be Nate Clements' new employers. I like his mind-set
as much as i lvoe to hear that, its not going to happen this year. however, i expect the playoffs this season. with all our cap room and draft picks, i do expect the playoffs. but, 3rd OC in his first 3 years for Smith, we are going to have to adjust again, and Smith will need at least 2 years before he could carry this team to the superbowl. however, i dont see it a far reach in a couple of years from now.

But when a guy like Michael Smith compliments a team like that, a team that was the laughin stock of the NFL not too long ago... You know Nolan has the organization in the right direction. We're alot closer than 75% people out there think we are.
I actually think they can make a run this year. With all the cap room they have, they can go out and sign some impact free agents and should be able to get the rookies into camp on time.
