<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jake Plummer-QB-Broncos Mar. 2 - 10:44 am et ESPN.com reports that the Bucs and Broncos have an agreement in principle "on most of the elements" of a trade that will send Jake Plummer to the Bucs. It's believed Denver will receive a fourth-round pick for Plummer, who lands with the one QB guru who could make him relevant in fantasy leagues again. While Chris Simms should enter 2007 as the slight favorite to start, Jon Gruden's history with veteran quarterbacks suggests that Plummer will play eventually.</div>I don't really think he was worth a 4th rounder considering he was gonna get cut anyways, but a good option for the Bucs as a short term move.

nevermind.Apparanently he decided to retire instead of being traded.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jake Plummer-QB-Broncos Mar. 2 - 12:35 pm et NFL Network's Adam Shefter reports that Jake Plummer has decided to retire in lieu of being traded to the Bucs.Maybe Mike Shanahan should have treated him better. Denver now loses the fourth-round pick they would have picked up. Plummer never seemed like someone who "needed" football, but he's only 33 and could always re-consider in the future. Chris Simms can breathe a little easier. While the Bucs will find a veteran quarterback, he's unlikely to be as good as Plummer.</div>

And a continuation to this ever-weird saga<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jake Plummer-QB-Broncos Mar. 2 - 3:25 pm et There has been some speculation that Jake Plummer is threatening to retire because he wants to play for Gary Kubiak in Houston. He could force the Broncos to release him. Houston was interested in Plummer, but they wouldn't give up a draft pick with Sage Rosenfels already on the roster. Plummer seems to want to avoid another QB controversy. The only way to do that is to retire.</div>
