Last March, the club gave asix-year, $36 million contract to Pro Bowl center LeCharlesBentley, who suffered a career-threatening knee injury early intraining camp. The Browns are counting on better luck with Steinbach, a6-foot-6, 290-pounder who can play guard or tackle.</div>

They definately need some Lineman. I'm scared to see the numbers after what Dockery got though. He probably did get Hutchinson money.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Eric Steinbach-G- Browns Mar. 2 - 6:41 pm et Browns signed OL Eric Steinbach to a seven-year, $49.5 million contract. The Bucs are now expected to focus on Luke Petitgout. Steinbach, just about the only Bengal lineman who didn't get re-signed by Cincy, smartly waited for free agency and got Steve Hutchinson money without ever making a Pro Bowl. Profootballtalk.com reports he'll play right tackle, although Joe Thomas could change things. He'll solidify a shaky line, but we said that about Cleveland's signings last year.</div>

Steinbach undergoes procedureStaff report 04.19.2007Guard Eric Steinbach underwent an appendectomy at the Cleveland Clinic on Wednesday.Steinbach was released from the hospital on Thursday and is expected to make a full recovery, the team said in a statement released on Thursday.According to Browns head team physician, Dr. Anthony Miniaci, Steinbach's participation in the Browns off-season strength and conditioning program will be limited for the next three to six weeks, but he is expected to fully participate in the June mini-camp. LINK/SOURCEHopefully he comes back and is OK, but this looks like he will be out for the season because he signed with Cleveland. The curse rules again!

An Appendectomy is normally about 4 weeks, the article says 3-6, but whatever. Regardless, it's kinda freaky considering what happened to Bentley last year. lol
