Unlike Venom, I have no faith in the piece of trash that is Adrian Jones. And Clement is mediocre and older. Tony Ugoh would be the perfect draft pick in round 1. :whistling:

Although to be fair, the Right Tackle position wasn't the best use of his skills as he doesn't have the strength to be an impact in the Run Game and is more a Mediocre Pass Blocker, a decent backup Left Tackle, worthless at the Right Tackle position. As for Ugoh, I really don't feel the need to have pretty much our entire Offensive Line come from the First Round. If one is the Best Available Player then we should take them, but I'd almost rather see us pursue a James Marten, Chase Johnson or a similar player in the mid rounds and then groom them into a Future Starter.

Only in rare cases do teams ever even have the majority of their draft picks come from the First Round. Denver has a great line and they only spent one First Round pick on an Offensive Lineman in the past 20 Years, which by the way George Foster was just traded as part of the Dre Bly deal. Same deal with Indianapolis with one First Round Pick Offensive Lineman in the past 20 Years.Great Lineman have come and will continue to come from the Mid Rounds as well. We got the core of our line in the First Round last year with D'Brick and Mangold, we just need to add the complimentary pieces.

If you've ever noticed, Plummer didn't exactly have hours to throw the ball back there. They had a line built to run block and a scheme that is great for runners. And great Linemen do come from the mid rounds... but immediate impact linemen don't.
