<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Believe it, Broncos fans.Al Wilson is gone. The Broncos Pro Bowl linebacker is in New York taking his physical today, an indication his trade to the Giants is imminent.A source close to Wilson confirmed he is in New York, and if he passes his physical, a trade could be announced later this afternoon. The Broncos are trading Wilson in part because they need to pare their payroll after they signed free agents Travis Henry and Daniel Graham to a combined guarantee of $27 million. Wilson is to make a $5.2 million salary in 2007, plus $600,000 in offseason workout bonuses .With Wilson gone, the Broncos will first look to move outside linebacker D.J. Williams to the middle. Among the candidates to replace Williams on the outside are Eddie Moore, who like Wilson starred at the University of Tennessee, Louis Green, T.J. Hollowell and Cameron Vaughn.Staff writer Mike Klis can be reached at 303-954-1055 or mklis@denverpost.com.</div>http://www.denverpost.com/ci_5505017

Interesting. Denver fans should be furious if overpaying on an unneeded player like Daniel Graham and a RB one toke away from a one year suspension is going to cost them argueably their best player in Al Wilson. This move is a bit weird as the Giants already have an MLB in Pierce, I guess he is going to have to move to the Outside. Any word on what the Giants are parting with? I have to figure it'll be at least a Second Rounder.

If so, that is an f'n steal. That can't be right...

No deal.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Update: Wilson Trade Talks Break DownDon?t buy your Al Wilson jerseys just yet.Talks between the Giants and the Denver Broncos broke off this afternoon, and according to a team source it does not look like there is going to be a deal at all. It?s not exactly clear why, but since Wilson was in New York today undergoing a physical with Giants doctors, it?s possible that he did not pass.Wilson was plagued at times last year by thumb, back and neck injuries. In fact, surgery on his right thumb kept him from making his fifth appearance in the Pro Bowl back in February. It?s doubtful that the trade talks broke off over terms, since the Giants likely wouldn?t have flown Wilson in for a physical if they hadn?t at least agreed on the framework of a deal. Oh, and for what it?s worth, those terms apparently did not include the Giants sending defensive end Justin Tuck to the Broncos. Tuck?s agent, Doug Hendrickson, told the Daily News in an e-mail today that such speculation was ?Not true.? Now, it?s certainly possible that he just didn?t know. But it?s also doubtful the Broncos would have accepted Tuck in trade without bringing him to Denver for a physical so they could examine his injured foot. And Hendrickson would?ve known if Tuck was taking a physical for the Broncos.Anyway, check back later for more details on what went wrong.</div>http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/giants/

Umm... there is no way this is true, because even the Redskins would've swapped 1st round picks with Denver if we got Al Wilson.

Great move for the Giants. I don't understand why Denver let Wilson walk? Wilson's a great linebacker. Hopefully he'll actually play a game apposed to Arrington.

The deal would of went threw but he still has a problem with his neck, so I am glad he isn't a giant, we don't need another injury prone player.

He had one injury in his life.Al Wilson is one of the best LBs right now. He can compete with any LB in the game. One injury does not make him injury prone.
