http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6613558 As a Bears fan, I say do this considering we have to consider our best options that we are going to get. This is really tempting and who knows.. Calvin Johnson may still be around?
OH MY GOD!! Please do it!! Please do it!! This is too good to be true. TED GINN!! NOT ANOTHER SWAP THOUGH!! I want 6, 31, 37. Ginn, Posluzny, Pittman

I read that. Thats why I was bitching about the swap. I don't want a swap. I want that 6th pick, while we keep 31 so we can take Posluzny and then Pittman at 37

I really dont think they can get a much better deal. I mean, he already said he would sit out the season so theres no reason to not trade him. The Redskins would be foolish to offer such a high pick considering no one else would offer so much for Lance.

He's not a really good receiver, he's just flashy. Pittman would also be a pretty long reach at 37 too IMO.
I think this would be a great trade for Chicago. I believe in Lovie Smith, as far finding replacement players. And he has a great defensive system.I don't think this is good for the Redskins because doesn't address the really issues that surrounds their defense...and that's a pass rush. The Redskins need quality DE to put pressure on the offense. And if there is no pressure coming from the front four, Lance Briggs will be a non-factor. And it would be a waste of a pick that could have been use on a DE. Besides, I think McIntosh can go a good job if they could get some good DE's. But as usual with the Redskins it's all about a quick fix and not developing players. And if you look at all the champion teams they have their own players they developed. And that's what you need.
It would be a good deal for the Bears if it happens like that. Trading Down from #6 to #31 is a huge drop in value and as good as Briggs is, I don't think he makes up for it. Meanwhile, the Redskins biggest needs IMO are on the Defensive Line and they give up all that and don't even fill their biggest need. Either way, Ted Ginn Jr. is NOT worth the #6 pick man. The Bears could probably trade down at least 10 spots from there if they want Ginn Jr. Which I doubt he would be the target anyways. Maybe the Bears would be targetting Quinn. :whistling:

And you are absolutely right, Ted Ginn Jr. is not worth the #6 pick. And IMO he's not worth a first round pick. If you look at his route running it's very poor. To me the only thing that he's got going for him is speed. It's not the biggest guy either, not that really matters. And considering how he could have played in the bowl game but didn't because he didn't want to mess up his draft status. Again, that could be rumors but he's not worth the #6 pick. I'm saying all that and watch he'll end up in Dallas...making want to choke myself.

Moves like these just dig the Skins deeper and deeper into their shittyness hole. Bears would be lucky to get the 6th pick for Briggs and the 31st. Skins need to ask for more, like the Bears 3rd rounder too.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (JHair @ Mar 27 2007, 07:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Really? The Bears don't think we are offering enough. I think this trade is very even.</div>IMO yeah. The Skins need more picks too, they dont have their 2nd (Jets) or 4th (Niners) from what I know. They have to be smart about this deal and try to get another pick, as Venom said the drop from 6th to 31st is too big for Briggs to fill.
