I need help deciding what I should get, a new computer or a Nintendo Wii?The positives of a new computer would have to be that I don't have to share with anyone else on the family. I'm using a family computer right now, and my sister and my father go on it all the time. It's always slow, and I'm sure they get spyware/malware/viruses on it because I actually watch where I go, and I never find anything on my desktop when I scan for things. And for some reason, the computer always ends up being slow in a month or two every time we buy a new computer no matter how fast we first bought it. Anyways, if I would get a computer it wouldn't be anything too fancy. It wouldn't go 'over' $800, and it would probably either be a Dell or an HP. I've always wanted my own computer because I think it'd be nice and in time, I will get my own internet connection and I can finally feel free to do whatever I want with 'my' computer. On the other hand...The positives of getting a new console would be an upgrade to my XBox. I sort of already have fun with my XBox now, but the games are getting old. A new console (it would probably either be an XBox 360 or a Nintendo Wii) would definetly let me have fun and I guess "put more flavor in my childhood" as they as it. Buying a new console would also be much cheaper than buying an $800 computer [price is without the internet upgrade], and I would definetly save a couple of hundred bucks when I buy a new gaming console...I think it'd be more fun to go with the new console, but I'm having a little trouble deciding. Once I decide to get the new console, something comes up in my mind wanting me to get a new computer. Then when I finally decide on order the PC, I'll probably have to change my mind again... The PC would complete my new room because I have nothing to do in my room right now. I lent my XBox to my uncle for a couple of months because he doesn't have anything to play with, and when I get a new console, maybe he can keep my XBox. But then again, a new computer 'for me' just sounds so good... :banghead:

A video game console isn't that much cheaper when you factor in the cost of Games and other Accessories. Go with the computer.

If your going to get a console get the 360, not the Wii. The 360 is the best console on the market, with the best selection of games AND the best selection of games coming out.Ont the other hand, the Computer is great also......Hmm, flip a coin?

Get the comp. Much more useful and versatile than any game system.

I would go with the computer, cuz the circumstances you're already under. It would be just yours and it would be alot faster and less frustratin surfin the internet or playin games on. Plus you can just have alot of music, movies, and games that you want on it.However Xbox 360 is fuckin tight, go with that if you're gettin a console. Try to get the bundle pack that comes with Gears of War, an extra wireless, and a battery charger. Only $480.

Uhhh, what is your point? Who has sold the most consoles overall? Who has the better games? What is the cheapest system? Who has the largest fanbase? Your answers.1. Xbox 360.2. Xbox 360.3. Nintendo.3. Nintendo.

Just curious, but since when does selling the most systems make something the best? Microsoft's Internet Explorer holds an 84% Market Share, but Mozilla Firefox is a better browser, so much so that the latest version of Internet Explorer is just a cheap ripoff of Firefox.Microsoft's Windows Based Machines hold the overwhelming market share (Something like 90%), but Mac OS X is the better operating system, so much so that Windows Vista is just a cheap ripoff of Mac OS X.Which by the way, Judging by Microsoft's history, It's almost a sure bet that the next Xbox will be just a regurgitated version of Xbox 360 with the best features ripped off of Wii and PS3 anyways. You keep spouting off that number like it's Gospel, but you're also forgetting that the general public is full of morons so just because something sells the most copies, doesn't make it the best. Like your example in the other thread, 4+ Million Morons shelled out their money on 50 Cent's 'The Massacre' despite the fact that it is utter crap, and that there is alot of underground music that is a hell of a lot better then that, but will never seill 4+ Million copies.

And the Wii is kicking major ass. Plus, the actually turn a profit on their machines, unlike Microsoft and Sony who both lose money on their respective systems.

Elvis, Aerosmith, the Beatles. You can argue that someone like the Sex Pistols, the Clash, or Green Day are better, but the public disagrees, and even though my favorite bands aren't the top sellers, you still give the top sellers respect.

You can't, it comes standard with 99.9% of laptops nowadays.Laptops are very versatile, and I love having mine. It depends how much you will spend on a computer/game console. Computers aren't very good if you are spending just as much as you would on a console, so if that's that case, keep your comp and buy a console. If you spend about 1 grand or more on a computer/laptop, get the computer.

I have a 1280x800 Gateway laptop and it's awesome. It cost about $1700. I probably have it on 20 hours a day. If I go downstairs to get a drink, I take it with me. If I go to the basement to play stuff, I take it with me. The only bad things about laptops is that they get viruses REALLY easily and it's almost guaranteed yo uwill get like 10 mini viruses by the first week. I don't know why that is, but it just happens. I know for sure I have a lot, but I don't care... so don't let that bother you.... just a heads up.I played the Wii and I think it's freakin awesome (I don't own one, a friend does). For some reason, my favorite one is the bowling one. I played that with my family a lot. If you like being on the computer then get a laptop. But if you're into Zelda and video games in general, get the Wii. Of course, PS3 is the best, but hardly anyone gets it because it just isn't worth it for like $600. I say get a laptop, and for your birthday or something ask for a Wii (or 360).

It's possible for hackers to use their laptops to pose as wireless services now so be careful with simply turning on your wireless.
