I'm definetly pumped for the draft this coming Saturday and Sunday. I'm just hoping that I don't have any baseball or basketball games that day. Who do you want your team to draft?I want Atlanta to draft LaRon Landry or Levi Brown in first round! [IMG]

haha, good luck with Landry... getting passed the Lions, Browns, Buccaneers, Cardinals, REDSKINS, VIKINGS?Levi Brown, Adrian Peterson, or Jamaal Anderson will be Falcons.

Vikings don't need a safety. They already signed Doss to a long term deal. And all the teams that you've listed has a bigger need than a safety. Lions need a quarterback or someone to lead their team - definetly not a safety. Brown and Bucs will be going for Joe Thomas or Calvin Johnson. Why would they pass him up and draft Landry? Cardinals will be looking to draft on their big board which is likely Gaines Adams or Amobi Okoye. Redskins will be looking to do the same as the Cards.Falcons have a huge chance of getting Landry. I wouldn't mind if they got Adrian Peterson either. But there's another player that will be drafted before the Falcons do. I wouldn't want a pick wasted on a running back for the Falcons though. There's a lot more holes in our roster than just a power back. Besides, if he were to play for the Falcons, he'd have to split most of his carries, and I don't think a first round pick would be worth that compared to safety, defensive linemen, offensive linemen, linebackers, and possibly a receiver.

You don't pass on a Top 10 Saftey for a JAG. If they pass up Landry it is because they've decided to go in another direction. But signing someone like Doss (Who didn't even start last year until Bob Sanders got injured) is not going to prevent them from drafting a Landry.

They have much bigger positional needs. But who are you to say that a player is a jag or not? I'm not saying that he isn't, but there's a big chance that they will pass on Landry to draft Jamaal Anderson or Adam Carriker. This is just my prediction ofcourse. We'll see five days from now.

I agree the Vikings won't draft Landry and that he will drop to Atlanta. However, mike doss is not going to be the starter and a one year contract is not a "long term deal" by any means. We signed him to a Tank Williams type contract from last year. If he screws up, no big deal, if he does well, awesome. If Adrian Peterson drops to us, we pick him. If Quinn drops to us, we trade down to Miami's spot. If neither are there, we pick Jamaal Anderson, Gaines Adams, Laron Landry, or trade down for Ginn/meachem.

He has to compete with Dwight Smith, Greg Blue, and Tank Williams for the other safety spot.

I want the Steelers to draft Darrelle Revis or maybe Lawrence Timmons. But it sucks because I'll have to miss the whole first day of the draft because of a track meet that we have to leave for at 7:30 in the morning and we dont get back until about 9 at night.

Anyone else up for a Live Chat during the draft? I usually sit in front of the TV with a laptop analyzing everything... It's like a holiday-like event for me. None of my friends understand how I could watch a clock and a comissioner for 4 hours. It's a hell of a lot more exciting than cars going around in circles.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (one. @ Apr 23 2007, 07:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I want the Steelers to draft Darrelle Revis or maybe Lawrence Timmons. They keep you updated.

I will be very pissed if the Redskins don't draft Landry (unless Adams falls).

They're 'very' similar, and I believe Sears has had a better college career than Levi Brown. To me, there's no glaring difference between the two, and I wouldn't say that Levi Brown is worth the eighth pick overall. That's why I'd rather draft a defensive player with the first round pick. I'm sure Arron Sears will be there when we draft in the second round (one pick or the other. We have two in the second round).

Portis after the injury is still top 5.

I'm 16, so I just work at a grocery store).
