Welcome to the Bills 2007 Draft thread! This is where you can talk Bills football all the way through the draft! Only five more days left until the big day!
There are so many scenarios that could play out for us. I would say that Pat Willis is the most likely guy to get picked, but who knows? I didn't see Donte Whitner being picked by us last year, so anything could happen this year!

I think if the Bills want Willis that badly it will need to be through a trade up.
yeah San Francisco does want Willis bad. But if he happens to be available around pick #9 or #10, the Bills will trade up. We have a lot of draft picks to trade with so it could happen. I would just die if we were able to grab Peterson, but I'm going to keep dreaming

Im putting my money on a trade down to get more picks to fill holes. Only way the Bills actually pick at 12 is if Willis or Peterson (I wish) fell there.Although I wouldnt be sirprised if Leon Hall is a Bill

I will though!
I give the Bills draft an A+! They made all the right moves and look like an actual team again. We'll see how our cornerback situation looks like after training camp.
I love the Bills' draft. Lynch, Poz, Wright, and Wendling were all great picks. Edwards, Ah You, and Schouman were good picks as well. I dont think they reached for anyone, and stole Poz. Great draft, they're really movin in the right direction.
I give the Bills a B+ on the draft as a whole. I loved the first two picks of Lynch and Posluszny but the 3rd rounder (QB - Edwards) threw me for a loop. I would have rther seen the team go with a cornerback like Hughes here.Although I cant realy complain, Marv likes to draft for value in the 3rd and 4th rounds. If you look at the Bills draft last season w picked up two guys who were projected to be late first/early 2nd rounders in Youboty and Ko Simpson an that worked out pretty well so far.Go Bills!
Bills drafted well, but my complaint as a whole is their first 2 rounds basically just counter the losses of McGahee and Fletcher-Baker and in reality they didn't gain much ground, if any, this offseason as a whole. Whereas the Jets (T. Jones, Revis, Harris) and the Patriots (R. Moss, Welker, Meriweather) used their drafts to get significantly better.

Even if its bad this year which it may be, with this draft it will be alot easier to build on than a decent one would've been. GREAT draft by the Bills, I love it.
Marshawn is going be making plays all over the field, something Willis couldn't do after 2004. Lynch also can catch passes, also something McGahee was never able to accomplish. I do miss Fletcher, but he was not worth the cash that Washington gave him. He was a great leader, but Poz will be our Zach Thomas for years to come. Now we have three solid LBs to plug the holes along with Schobel, Walker, Tripplett, Williams and Kelsay. Trent Edwards will be able to learn our system for a few years, then in 2009, if Losman decides to leave or he hasn't shown any improvments, we can bring in Edwards who was brought in the right way. Losman was handed the job in 2005 and really was not ready. That was a huge setback, and it took all the way until this past November for him to finally be decent. I like Edwards. Our CB spot will be addressed in training camp and I think Youboty will step it up and prove he is our guy. :beerbang2:
