<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ESPN's John Clayton reports the Raiders intend to draft Calvin Johnson with the No. 1 pick if the Dolphins acquire Trent Green from Kansas City.Clayton's theory is that the whole top part of the draft depends on the future of Trent Green. If Green goes to Miami, Daunte Culpepper will be cut and Oakland would then sign him. Clayton says if a Green trade can't be worked out, the Raiders will be forced to draft JaMarcus Russell.</div>Makes some sense...I don't see a Green trade being worked out until during draft day though, so it's very possible the Raiders will be handcuffed by no deal and have to take Russell, only to later find out that they could have Culpepper for nothing. Granted, Culpepper would still be a pretty good mentor.
So that means the Dolphins would trade up to #6 to get Brady Quinn? The Redskins would acquire the 9th overall and perhaps a 2nd rounder? I hope we don't do that because I want Landry (though I wouldn't mind Okoye).

I don't think a trade up to #6 makes much sense though as I don't see either Minnesota or Atlanta drafting a QB, even if Quinn falls in their laps.
Hmmm... If the Fins decided to trade up just to be insured for Quinn, the Vikings would be the trade spot they went for. Get the Vikings out of the way for less draft pick points would make more sense. I don't think it will happen, but I don't see them (Raiders) signing Green or Culpepper at any point.

That way we could pick up Jamaal Anderson, Robert Meachem, or Ted Ginn jr. with that pick and get more value later in the draft.
I don't get why Green doesn't just head for Cleveland? Miami could just trade up and get Quinn, or if they're real desperate, they could trade up for Russell lol. Oh well, whatever happens happens. I just can't wait to see how this all works out!!

Like I posted before in a different thread, the chances of Calvin Johnson being drafted by the Oakland Raiders is quite high. Thanks for the info though.
