29. Ben Grubbs, OG, Auburn74. Yamon Figurs, KR/PR/WR, Kansas St.86. Marshal Yanda, OT, Iowa134. Antwan Barnes, OLB, Florida International137. Le'Ron McClain, FB, Alabama174. Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State207. Prescott Burgess, OLB, MichiganI don't mind the pick even though I would have preferred Houston. Scouts say he's a mauler and the best pure guard in the draft. He's strong, athletic, and nimble. Some say he will start this upcoming season which would be quite amazing. Grubbs, Chester, and Brown make a good interior line for the next few years.I knew we brought in Figurs but I didn't think we were serious about him, especially, not over Trent Edwards. I don't really see why we'd take him when BJ Sams is fine, unless there's something the Ravens aren't revealing about Sams' leg. That being said, I love his speed. 4.3 speed!!!!! That's blaaaaaazing. Plus he had 6 catches for 123 yards and 2 TDs against Aaron Ross, Michael Griffin, and Texas. He could very well be the Hester of the AFC. Plus, it's said that he has good hands which is a bonus. If we had a strong arm quarterback, that would be even better.I'm not sure about the Yanda pick. It's possible we bring him in to be the replacement for Ogden (probably shift Terry back to the left and Yanda at right) but I think we definitely were jumping the gun. I just don't think it was necessary at all to make the pick when honestly, he could end up being a career backup. Plus, I think the price was a little high. Considering that there will be a cap purge in the next 2 season, we could have really used the 2 extra players we traded to move up. Plus, Yanda over Bradley, Edwards, Hughes... ehhhhhBarnes is a pick I like. 4.43 in the 40!!! He runs faster than running backs, cornerbacks, safeties, wide receivers! He's the type of athlete that the Ravens are known to love on the defensive side of the ball. I'm not really sure about his intangibles but with the guidance from Ray Lewis, Bart Scott, and Terrell Suggs, he could mold into a starter like Adalius Thomas.I don't get why we'd spend a 4th on a FB when Allison, Smith, Crosby, Patrick, Siler, Harris are still on the board. McClain runs a 4.88 which is very slow. Ehhh, maybe he'll bust out like Mughelli did.I love the Troy Smith pick. Even though we'll probably grab another QB next year, Smith has a year to learn behind McNair. I see similarities between McNair and Smith. I really think that he could step into the team and be a starter for us in the future. That is unless we draft someone next year.I don't really like the fact we drafted Burgess. We already have quite a lot of depth at OLB and Burgess just clutters it even more. It's possible that he plays DE. He's also not that athletic of an OLB but not big or strong enough for DE. With Brandon Siler and Nate Harris still on the board, we could have found a developmental ILB behind Ray Lewis. I think with guidance and coaching, either one of them can be good players with their already good physical set. We could have even used Ben Patrick to stretch out our passing game ever more. But then again, we got Bart Scott in round 6. Repeat? Don't think sVERALL: I would give this draft an A-/B+. Really on the fence on A and B. I like a little more than half the picks (Grubbs, Figurs, Barnes, Smith) but I think we had better options available with the other picks (Yanda, McClain, Burgess). Grubbs is supposed to be a stud on the O-line for quite awhile and some say he might even start this year. Figurs will probably get to start this year too as the primary KR/PR with Sams's future in trouble. I really like the physical set and athleticism that Barnes brings to this team. Smith, if we protect him in the pocket, is a good quarterback. One bad game against Florida shouldn't diminish his accomplishments completely. Yanda and McClain, I'm just not sold that they were necessary picks or the best player available. McClain might start this year though in spot duty over Justin Green. Burgess is a waste of a pick to me. With Cody (unless his career is over), we don't need 6 OLBs.

Grubbs is a pretty good pick, but he's more of the complete lineman mold then he is a mauler. Blalock was the mauler out of the two.

As for the upcoming pick, I hope Leonard falls far enough for the Ravens to pick him up. Or a CB like Wright, McCauley would be nice (although we do have Pittman)Well, neither of them fell.If Kalil falls to us, it'll be interesting what we do.It looks like Edwards or McCauley will fall to us. I'm guessing Miami will be taking Edwards.
Well, trade down from 61 for 74 (10th pick in 3rd round) and 101 (2nd pick in 4th round)... I like itAt 74, Johnson, Moses, McDonald, Robison, Bradley, Deossie, Alexander, Siler, Jackson, McCauley, Wade, Hughes, Crosby, Pittman, Bush, Hunt could be available.

And they'll likely get one more next year.</div>That's what I was thinking. With Mike Anderson, Justin Green, PJ Daniels, Cory Ross that can all play FB if needed, I don't really think drafting McClain was necessary. Also, I read in the paper today that the Ravens will probably go 3 WR sets a lot this season to spread out the field for Willis.
