LinkGod damn Im jealous. I hope one day the 49ers D can be as fierce and effective. Although Im sure there probably wont be a D with that swagger and that many beasts in awhile.

Yeah, there D is like something you'd see in a movie. It's amazing how good (and consistent) they've been over the past decade or whatever.

Our system is amazing. And our ability to keep up that system after coordinators leave is even better. When Ryan probably leaves after next season, FitzGerald will be able to step in and there won't be any step back. Plus credit Ozzie Newsome for getting gems in the draft. 1st rounders like Ray Lewis, Peter Boulware, Chris McAlister, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs. And then late rounders like Herring, Brown, Thomas, Hartwell. It's going to be a sad day when Ray Lewis retires because it will be the curtain call to an era of Baltimore defense. But I think the D will be able to stay just as good.If we could only get that offense to be half as good as the D... hopefully this year.

i still believe in kyle boller. i still believe that if the ravens had had some targets for boller when he was the starting QB, he woulda been fine, oh well.i really think the ravens vs. 49ers game this year is gonna be one of the better games all year, IMo_On paper, the 49ers have a really great offense, going against a really good D, and the 49ers D is improving greatly, as is the ravens offense. should be a good game.

The Ravens D has been great no doubt, it's amazing how despite losses they manage to keep their defense among the Elite Year in and Year out. (And also amazing how nobody who left their Defense has gone on to do anything yet....*cough*Good Luck Adalius Thomas*cough*), but at the same time lets not forget that it's a HIGHLIGHT Film, and in that I mean something intended to make somebody (or thing) look good by only showing the best plays only. Over 7-8 years of footage, I'm sure any teams defense could come up with a similar video.

And damn the music makes it perfect, gotta love 300 music.

The Ravens defense isn't all that flashy. There are times when there's the big hit and play but what makes it great is the ability to hold on 3rd down and make tackles in the open field. But I like how when we get a turnover, we lateral the ball around, hoping to score.

And they're smart enough to know when to fall to the ground.

First off McNair will be here for at least another 3 years. Smith is still unproven in this league, so we don't know yet if he is our future.

No no, I wouldn't take it that far. He hasn't even played a snap in the NFL yet, how can he be a bust? Troy Smith could be this teams future, but we need to see him play first. He won the Heisman last year, remember?

I don't think you can call a 6th rounder a bust. But McNair probably has 2 seasons tops. We're headed for a salary cap purge in the after next season and his contract will be at the top of the pile along with Samari Rolle, Derrick Mason, Trevor Pryce, and all the other aging guys.Troy Smith has what it takes as long as the line protects him. By the time he gets to start, we'll have Terry, Grubbs, Chester, Brown, and Yanda (or a 1st round pick next year) on that line. Young and athletic players.

But I think Troy could be a pretty good QB in this league, just needs to be brought along right and be surrounded with atleast decent talent. And yeah late-round picks like him cant really be called busts...

Ed Hartwell hasn't even played a full season since he's left us.Gary Baxter has been injured every year since he's left us.Jamie Sharper's career was over when he left us.Every player that leaves our defense hasn't done anything since.

But Marques Douglas has been a very solid DE for the Niners since he was signed when Nolan came here. Thats what we hope from Aubrayo Franklin as well.
