The media is saying that since Adalius Thomas left, our defense won't be anywhere near as good. One player that didn't even crack the starting lineup until the past 2 years is THAT important?

But I doubt that without him, they wont be a scary ass D next season.Who is to replace him anyways?

But Marques Douglas has been a very solid DE for the Niners since he was signed when Nolan came here. Thats what we hope from Aubrayo Franklin as well.
Thats true, i do remember what Ed Hartwell said when he was with us, It would have been the Ed Hartwell show if i came here before ray Lewis did" :LMAO:
Lol too bad when he went out and tried to lead a D of his own he had to get badly injured, I remember him ownin with Ray in Baltimore.
Yeah its almost like with Denver and their running game, maybe its our system.
Most likely Jarret Johnson who has started for us before but mostly at DE and some DT but he's listed as a OLB/DE and played last season subbing for Thomas and Suggs when they were tired. He switched to OLB last off-season so he might be a little raw. But out of pre-camp, the news is that Antwan Barnes was proving he will be competition with his athleticism (he ran faster than quite a few running backs and wide receivers with a 4.43 40 yard dash and he's 240 pounds). He was a 4th round pick in the past draft. Might get to start like Ngata did last season. But the job is Johnson's to lose. Johnson is pretty versatile himself, he can play all the defensive positions besides the secondary. He was once valued as a high round draft pick but fell to the 4th to us 4 years ago. I hope Barnes wins though, his athleticism is crazy and he would totally fit in. Thing is most linebackers we have don't get to start as a rookie (Suggs and Ray Ray being exceptions).
We play a 3-4. 2 DTs (3 if you count Pryce) and a DE with 4 OLBs. Suggs rarely played in a stance unless it was an obvious passing situation.

The Ravens D isnt going anywhere, Ray lewis isnt even the best LB on our team anymore and yet we are still probably the best defense in the NFL. Our guys know how to draft defensive talent, and our offense is effecient enough. i like this team to win it all.
