And in the draft they got 2 premier pass rushers, and a first round talent DT in the fourth round because of "character issues." They also got a good, experienced SAM linebacker in warrick holdman. And best of all, we got jim bates, who will make our defence compete with Baltimore and chicago for best in the league. Were do we have weaknesses now? We covered EVERYTHING in the offseason.
Dre Bly is Overrated. NOTravis Henry is not that good whatsoever. Yes he is. This is a dumb statementGraham was a decent signing but he's also overhyped. A little but, but will help protect Jay and catch passes in the red zoneStokley is a good 4th or slot receiver but he definitely benefited from playing with Harrison, Wayne, and Manning. I agree, but still provides depth and experienceThat first round DT talent is a complete thug. The vikings ripped you off in that trade by trading a 4th rounder for a 3rd next year (wtf? higher pick...) and two 7ths. I mean.. this guy wasn't even allowed at his own teams pro day because they were afraid he would pull something. That shows some issues. Do you REALLY think either chandler williams or rufus alexander will do ANYTHING? Id gladly give up 2 scrubs to you guys for a first round talent that has (hopefully) changed. The Broncos should be all right but you can't say that their offseason was better than the pats.. They had a top 10 offseason but definitely not #1.
He was benched cuz their coverage was horrible, and that isnt his strong-point. He's gonna do well for us this season, we'll utilize his as Jimmy Johnson did their Super Bowl year. He is just to inconsistant to be better than an above average receiver.

As for Micheal Lewis, the Eagles got vrusterated with his lack of coverage last year, and was even benched a couple times. And overpaying for a cornerback wasnt very smart. He is making some 20 mil more than champ bailey, and Clements isnt even in champs league. In reguards to the draft, Shanny did NOT want Willis. In an interview he said his targeted players were Justin Harrell, Lawrence Timmons, and Jarvis moss. I agree with you however the niners had the best draft, however.
I don't think Dre Bly is a bad DB. In fact, I do believe he will help the Broncos. It's not like they are asking him to come in to be another Champ. I would have to say experience alone is better that anyone on their rosters the last 2 or 3 years besides Champ. So that's a plus. As far as Graham goes, I believe too he is still pretty good and I do believe he is a very good blocking TE, especially in the zone blocking scheme that the Broncos love to run. He's quick and get to his block fast and hold long enough for whoevers running.Henry he's pretty good. And Shanahan is another one of those coach you can't bet against when it comes to the running game. I mean look what he did with Bell, who IMO is nothing more than a 2 or 3 back. And in 13 games, had a problem holding onto the ball, Shanahan was able to get him over the 1000 yard mark. So it's hard for me not to believe that Henry, barring any injuries, which he could be know for, wouldn't at least get between 1400 - 1600 yards next year. Henry is 5 times the upgrade over Bell.So all in all I do think Denver was pretty good but New England was a lot better. Again, you can't discount what Brady and Belichick did with a far less superior team last year. And looking at what they have now, regardless if Moss has lost a step or not, or Stallworth is injury prone, they are BETTER than last year. And to be truthful, what makes New England better isn't so much Moss, Stallworth or Welker...it's Adalius Thomas. The defense will be a lot better, so that will make the offense better, making the signing of Moss looking like pure genius...IMO. Because if you look at the receiving corp of the Pats, Caldwell lead the team with 760 yards!!! Come now, Reche Caldwell???! It's hard for me not to believe that Moss will not have more yards than that, especially since Brooks and Andrews behind a busted line will not be throwing to him. But Tom Brady will. I can't stand the Pats, and I wish them all the bad luck. What I would like to happen is for Moss to go postal, Stallworth to get injuried but the reality of is it doesn't matter because they were only one play short of going to the Superbowl last year will far less talent.

Henry is 5 times the upgrade over Bell.</div>Pretty much what I just said, just more nicely put. Dre Bly and Daniel Graham are good players, but at the same time Bly hasn't played at a Pro Bowl level for 2 seasons now (And before you say it, he had a down year in 2005 with the Same Defense he made the 2 Pro-Bowls with, so it's not just the Cover Two Defense). Expecting him to come in and play at a Pro-Bowl level is just unrealistic, especially when he's going to be on the wrong side of 30 next year. And Daniel Graham is also a good player, but he's not the best Blocker in the league. People like Anthony Becht and Dan Campbell are in the league specifically because of their blocking abilities and each block much better then Graham does. And as for Henry, why do people assume he is going to get more carries in Denver? A) Henry had 270 carries last year, his backups combined for 109. That's hardly a Runningback by Committee ratio. Henry was the feature guy in Tennessee, especially during the second half of the season. [IMG] Mike Shanahan hasn't given any Runningback 300 carries or more in a season since Terrell Davis was his Runningback. Denver's Leading Rusher each year since Davis.1999 - Olandis Gary - 276 Carries2000 - Mike Anderson - 297 Carries2001 - Mike Anderson - 175 Carries2002 - Clinton Portis - 273 Carries2003 - Clinton Portis - 290 Carries2004 - Reuben Droughns - 275 Carries2005 - Mike Anderson - 239 Carries2006 - Tatum Bell - 233 CarriesTravis Henry's 270 carries would fit in right in the middle of the pack with his leading rusher each and every year. Mike Shanahan realizes that his abuse of Terrell Davis's legs burned him out and ruined his career and he's not going to make that mistake again. Travis Henry will get less then 300 carries, mark my words on it.

Actually, I think Rufus Alexander is better. Chandler Williams is decent but has character issues of his own. I doubt he makes the final roster.. However, the 3rd round pick we got in the deal made it a complete steal for us. It's ok that you're trying to make light of a situation that was pretty much universally critisized by journalists though.

And even though Marcus Thomas pick was critisized by some, it was applauded by others. And just about all analysts agree he is a first round talent.

Tom Brady was a 6th rounder and Colston was a 7th? Your point?

Adilus Thomas is over rated.Yeah I said it.Any LB paired with Ray Lewis will get a lot of tackles. Lets see how he does in NE.

WIth all the talk of Dre Bly getting ole, how about adalius Thomas? He is turning 30 before the season starts too. Plus his position is a lot more physically demanding than Dre's.And Randy Moss is older than 30.

And he's a versatile beast, damn Belichick is probably gonna have him everywhere like B-More did.
