He played in 107 games for Philadelphia and made the Pro Bowl in 2005.Bartrum handled all long snapping duties and was used as a backup tight end."Retiring as a Philadelphia Eagle is something that is very special for me," he said. "The memories I have shared with the players, coaches and Eagles organization are some of the best memories of my life. "The passion and support of the Philadelphia fans is something I will take with me wherever I go, and I feel truly blessed for having had the opportunity to play in front of them."Bartrum signed as an undrafted free agent with Kansas City in 1993 and played 188 career games with the Chiefs, Green Bay, New England and the Eagles. He played in the Super Bowl with the Patriots and Philadelphia.Six of Bartrum's 11 career receptions were touchdowns. Gotta love Long-Snappers. You have no idea who the guy is until he botches a Snap, then he's the devil. It's definately not a pretty job either as your sitting there knowing that you're about to get crushed by 2 300 pounders while having to get the snap off perfectly.
