Although there is plenty of speculation the 32-year-old Plummer will still return to the field in 2007, sources close to him insist he is steadfast about not playing.That said, Plummer has not yet filed his retirement paperwork with the league. Gruden is disparate and doesn't wanna have another season like last season with Gradkowski at the helm. If he can convince Jake he has a chance for the #1 spot he could only hope to lock him in for the ride for the rest of the season. Thus, if there are a lot of injuries at least the season isn't in complete shambles. But yeah, I really don't see that happening (Jake not retiring)
